Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following:

EASLEY

Dec. 3 – E.E. Standard responded to 108 Lee Rd. in reference to a family dispute. Upon arrival he learned that Harry Nash, BM, 62, and his nephew, Robin Nash, BM, 45, had been in a verbal altercation. Standard had been informed by central dispatch that Robin Nash was wanted on a bench warrant concerning failure to pay an uninsured driver’s fee. He was located and taken into custody.

Dec. 3 – S.L. Steward responded to 1938 Brushy Creek Rd. where Kerri Meeks reported the theft of her 1995 blue Ford Explorer, valued at $1000.

Dec. 4 – A.D. Hendrix and other members of the ACSO Catch Team responded to a complaint of possible stolen property at 420 Randall Rd. Upon arrival, they discovered a blue and white motorcycle with tag #ZB11303. The motorcycle came back as being stolen from the Simponsville Police Dept. While the officers, including Deputies Miller and Creamer, were on scene, the homeowner, Timothy Cartee, WM, 31, 5’11″, 155 pounds, brn/blue, arrived. Reports state he was frisked for officer safety and a handgun found in his pocket. Also located was a container of a crystal substance that later tested as methamphetamine. A subsequent search of the residence revealed several firearms with sawed off barrels and a shotgun stolen from Pickens County. Also located was a 5X8 enclosed trailer stolen from the ACSO last summer. Cartee was taken into custody on drug and firearm charges.

Dec. 5 – R.D. Smith responded to 104 Wigeon Way where James Cooley reported that someone had slashed the tire on his truck. The damage was estimated at $160.

PELZER

Dec. 2 – R. Anderson responded to 11 Frost St. and 15 Frost St. within a couple of hours. At the first address, Angela Russell, who was in the process of moving out reported that someone had entered the house and damaged several of the walls with a blunt instrument. At the second address, a Bowflex exercise machine valued at $600 was taken from the carport.

Dec. 3 – E.E. Standard was dispatched to the Shell gas station at 1712 Easley Hwy. The manager reported that a white female had entered the store and stolen two 12 packs of beer. She was unable to provide any significant information about the vehicle, which waited across the highway.

PIEDMONT

Dec. 2 – R. Anderson responded to 9801 Anderson Rd. where Lisa Cassidy reported that someone had broken into her 2004 Toyota and stolen her purse, containing a $1,000 and a laptop issued to her by School District One, valued at $1400.

Dec. 4 – D.L. Brinston responded to 105 Hopsewee Dr. where Tyrone Mack reported that someone had broken into his 2000 Cadillac Seville and took a laptop computer valued at $500. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $300.

Dec. 4 – R. Anderson was dispatched to Corner Magic Gaming Center at 2615 Hwy. 153 where owner David Wheeler reported that he had seen Marcus Shytle, Asian Male, 18 and Wyatt Rollins, WM, 17 shoplift merchandise. Both subjects conceded doing so and were placed on trespass notice.

Dec. 5 – R.D. Smith responded to Yeargin Miscellaneous Metal, Inc. at 130 Old School House Rd., where Jerry Yeargin reported that someone had cut the fence and stolen 18 4’ X 8’ metal pipes valued at $2500.

Dec. 5 – R.D. Smith was dispatched to the Carolina Rod Shop at 405 Hwy. 153 where Shannon Howard reported the theft of several items including a SeaDoo personal watercraft valued at $9000.

WILLIAMSTON

Dec. 2 – R. Anderson responded to 110 Yale Lane where Carley Hoover reported that someone had broken into her 2008 Dodge Journey and stolen her purse. The loss was estimated at $60.
