Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents:

EASLEY

Jan. 7 – C.M. Turner responded to 406 Planter’s Walk Dr. where Suzanna Campbell reported someone had vandalized her mailbox. Damage was estimated at $100.

Jan. 8 –A.M. Love responded to 8643 Old Greenville Rd. where Thomas Brogger reported that someone had damaged two doors to his house and his shed trying to break in. Damage was estimated at $650.

Jan. 8 – J.D. Sparkman was dispatched to 1712 Three and Twenty Rd. where James Martin reported he had been assaulted during a confrontation between him and his ex-wife, Melissa McNeill. No arrest was made but Sparkman was to present the case to a magistrate. Later that evening A.M. Love was dispatched to the same location, where Melissa McNeill reported the original incident and filed a complaint of criminal domestic violence.

PELZER

Jan. 7 – M. McCarty was dispatched to 105 Carley Court where Angela Payne reported that her boyfriend had struck her with a closed fist several times. McCarty reported that there were visible injuries and that Payne signed a complaint indicating that she wished to press charges. McCarty was to present the case to a magistrate.

Jan. 7 – C. Whitfield made a routine traffic stop on Bryant Road and subsequently discovered that the passenger, Donald New, WM, 24, 6’1″, 154 pounds, brn/grn, was wanted by the Pickens Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant. He was taken into custody.

Jan. 8 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 151 Tollison Rd. where James Autry reported that someone had stolen his dirt bike, valued at $900.

PIEDMONT

Jan.7 – R.D. Smith responded to 6901 Highway 81 N. where Anthony McDavid reported the theft of a black 5X8 Carry-On trailer, valued at $600.

Jan.7 – A.M. Love was dispatched to 217 Beech Island Dr. where April Davis reported that she had been robbed at gunpoint by two black men as she entered her apartment. One man wore dark jeans and a black shirt and jacket, with long braids. The other wore a red shirt and black jacket. She thought the men were driving a Ford Ranger truck but wasn’t sure.

Jan. 9 – M.K. Davis made a traffic stop on Hwy. 86 at Blossom Branch Rd. and subsequently discovered that the driver, Edwin Declet, Jr., WM, 34, 5’5″, 200 pounds, bald/brn was driving under suspension. He was taken into custody.

WILLIAMSTON

Jan. 7 – P.C. Henry was dispatched to 203 Briar Ridge where Phyllis Judd reported the theft of her SC license plate, bearing number 8537EE.

Jan. 8 – R.D. Smith responded to 205 Carrington Way on a domestic call. While there, he contacted Robert Snider, WM, 49, 5’11″, 210 pounds, brn/brn of Anderson and discovered he was wanted on a bench warrant. He was taken into custody.
