On Wednesday, February 1, Anderson County Roads and Bridges Department will close a portion of Massey Road near SC 81 in the Piercetown community to replace three large drainage culverts with a 25-foot long pre-cast concrete bridge. The roadway will be closed between SC 81 and Firetower Road, and is scheduled to re-open by July 13, 2012.
The posted detour will follow SC 81 west to S-4-1084 Campbell Road, north to Firetower Road and east to Massey Road. Only adjacent residents and delivery vehicles will be permitted within the road closure area.
