South Carolina voters will have the opportunity today to choose their preference for who they want to represent them in the 2012 Presidential challenge to President Barack Obama later this year.

The SC Republican Presidential Preference Primary is being held statewide today Saturday, January 21. Some Anderson County precincts have been combined for the primary. (See story below)

With Governor Rick Perry dropping out Thursday morning, the field has narrowed to four candidates, Mitt Romney, Newt Gringrich, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.

The state has been the center of attention in national politics this week, with Republican Presidential debates being held in Myrtle Beach Monday and in Charleston Thursday.
