LARRY E. McMAHAN
Larry Eugene McMahan, 67, husband of Rita Gale Buckles McMahan, of Iva, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at his home.
Born in Iva. He was a son of the late Harold Cecil McMahan and Idelia Wiles McMahan. He retired from R. J. R. Mechanical and B & L Mechanical. He was a member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kassie Ramey of Delmar, Delaware; Debbie Evans of Anderson, Cindi Pinyan of Pelzer; step-daughter, Kelly Payton of Iva; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday, Feb. 17 at The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment followed at Iva City Cemetery.

VICKIE YOUNG ARROWOOD
Victoria “Vickie” Ann Young Arrowood, 65, of Pelzer, wife of Leonard “Gene” Arrowood, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Pelzer, she was the daughter of Iva Davis Young, of Pelzer, and the late Harrison Young. She was a member of the West Pelzer Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by daughter, Melissa Arrowood Whittiker of Anderson; son, Michael Jason Arrowood, of the home; brother, Ernest “Ernie” Young, of Pelzer; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Pine Lawn Cemetery.

JOHN LOUIS BRATCHER
John Louis Bratcher, 88, widower of Mary E. Vaughn Bratcher, of Belton, died Friday, February 17, 2012 at National Healthcare of Laurens.
Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Inez Fields Bratcher. He worked in textiles and attended Belton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are sisters, Zelma King of Belton and Annie Laura Dyer of Pelzer; brothers, Jack Lowe of Williamston and Gerald Lowe of Belton.
Graveside services were held Monday at the Garden of Memories.
Memorials may be made to Belton Pentecostal Holiness Church.

HAROLD MILLER, SR.
Julius Harold Miller, Sr., of Piedmont, husband of Frances Earle York Miller, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Easley, he was the son of the late Julius Walter and Lillian Hunt Miller. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Catholic.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Julius Harold Miller, Jr., of Inman, Robert Dale Miller and Steven Brian Miller, both of Piedmont; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were held February 20, at the Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
The family is at the residence.

SARA BRYANT THOMAS
Sara Bryant Thomas, 74, of Piedmont, wife of Hubert Thomas, died Saturday, February 18, 2012.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Ollie Blackston Bryant.
She was a homemaker and a member of West Gantt First Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Dianne Thomas Rollins of Piedmont, Lynne Thomas of Greenville, and Brenda Thomas Wright of Blue Ridge; two foster-sons, Tommy and Michael Spearman, both of Piedmont; sister, Margaret Bryant Pratt of Columbia; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at West Gantt First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Graceland West Cemetery.

OLIVE MARIE OWENS GROFF
Olive Marie Owens Groff, 64 of Williamston, died on Saturday, Feb. 18th, 2012 in Atlanta, GA. She was born to Edwin and Joy Mayall in Coatsville, PA. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by husband, Raymond S. Groff of the home, a son, Benjamin Swanson of Greenville; a daughter, Amanda Mullinax of Williamston; brothers, Eddie Mayall of Downington, PA, and Loren Mayall of Gap, PA, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum chapel.

ONA BELL BAGWELL
Ona Bell Seigle Bagwell, 82, of Liberty, wife of the late Charles Edward Bagwell, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her home.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Henry and Fannie Seigle, she retired from Alice Manufacturing Company and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Church of God.
Surviving are four sons, James Bagwell of Easley, Ronnie Bagwell of Easley, Stanley Bagwell of Anderson and Ricky Bagwell of Easley; one daughter, Carolyn Pitts of Piedmont; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Graveside services were held Tuesday in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home, 142 Bagwell Road, Liberty, SC 29657.

JACK CANTRELL
Jack Wilson Cantrell, 85, of Belton, husband of Syble Scott Cantrell, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Hillcrest Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Clayton Denton and Laura Pressley Cantrell. He was retired from Harper Brothers Construction Co. and a member of Columbia Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and one of the founders of the Dunklin Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife of the home; daughter, Jane Davis of Belton; son, Ray Scott Cantrell of Belton; sister, Marge Thomason of Greenville; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday, February 22, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Funeral services will be 12 noon on Thursday, February 23 at Columbia Baptist Church. Burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

EVELYN ALINE BURRELL TINSLEY
Evelyn Aline Burrell Tinsley, 80, of Easley, wife of Woodrow Tinsley, died Monday, February 20, 2012.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Leo S. and Nettie Martin Burrell. She was retired from the Greenville Hospital System. She was a member of Piedmont Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Woody Tinsley, Jr. of Seneca, Bobby Joe Tinsley of Easley, Willie Hugh Tinsley of Pelzer; a daughter, Wanda Dresser of Galatin, TN; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 23 at 2 p.m. at Piedmont Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
Memorials may be made to Greenville Hospital System Children’s Hospital.
