The Gray Drive railroad bridge in Williamston is temporarily being closed for engineering assessment and repairs. The wooden bridge, which was constructed around 1910 was recently inspected, according to a statement by the Town of Williamston, the Greenville & Western Railway Co. and the Anderson County roads and bridges department. The examination revealed items that need attention. It is expected the structure will be reopened to traffic in November, according to the statement.
