Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following:

EASLEY

March 16 – While undercover, Deputy M.J. Gregory purchased a stolen firearm from two white males, Ian Vonhollen, 35, 6’1″, 195 pounds, brn/blue, of Greenville, and Waylon Swanger, 35, 6’1″, brn/green of Traveler’s Rest. They were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of several other firearms. After a brief motor vehicle chase the men were arrested. (See related story)

March 16 – R.G. Alexander responded to a complaint by the principal of Powdersville Middle School that a man was urinating off the loading dock at the school. Alexander located the man and found him to have slurred speech and be unsteady on his feet. The man attempted to flee and was subdued and transported to ACDC. During a search there, a substance identified as methamphetamine was found in one of his pockets. He was charged with possession and public disorderly conduct.

March 17 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 3527 Hwy. 153 where Ronald Dalton was found with a bloody lip. Erick Sizemore, WM, 26, 6’4″, 165 pounds was stopped trying to leave the Rival’s location. Dalton said Sizemore had punched him but declined to press charges. Sizemore, of Mt. Pleasant SC, was arrested for public disorderly conduct.

March 17 – G.M. Guthrie responded to 110 Lane Dr. where Rhonda Davis reported that someone had damaged her 2000 Pontiac Gran Prix. The damage was estimated at $250.

March 17 – R.M. Cooper responded to 100 Creedmore Lane where John Harjehausen reported that someone had broken into his car and stole $40 in cash.

March 17 – R.M. Cooper was dispatched to 113 Tranquil Lane where Johnny Boyd reported that someone broke the window out of his mini-van. Damage was estimated at $300.

March 17 – C.K. Cowan was dispatched to 115 Guilford Dr. where Calvin Reed stated that someone had broken into his car and stolen $80 in cash.

March 19 – J.D. Sparkman was dispatched to 8500 Old Greenville Hwy. where Faye Lollis reported that she and her son, Scott Lollis, came outside at approximately 3:30 and saw an unidentified white male in jeans and a hooded sweat shirt stealing their 2002 silver Dodge Ram pickup truck, valued at $8500.

March 19 – E.E. Standard was dispatched to 103 Planter’s Court where Carl Davis reported that someone had broken into his truck and stole a Garmin GPS unit as well as a Ruger .380 pistol. The loss was estimated at $550.

PELZER

March 16 – R.M. Cooper responded to 432 Guthrie Church Rd. where he subsequently arrested Jerry McCauley, WM, 27, 6’3″, 200 pounds, brn/brn on three warrants for fraudulent checks.

March 19 – J.G. Williams responded to 6510 Hwy. 29 N where Stephen Barker reported the theft of the air conditioner at that location. The loss was estimated at $3000.

PIEDMONT

March 16- J.K. Billingsley was dispatched to 205 Siloam Road where he assisted several Secret Service agents while they served a federal search warrant on the business offices of Atlantic Bullion and Coin and Live Oak Farms farm store. (See related story)

March 17 – R.D. Smith responded to 118 Goldfinch Court where Randy Smith II, WM, 26, 5’10″, 147 pounds and Gretchen Smith, WF, 30, 5’, 164 pounds were arrested for criminal domestic violence following a fight over sex and alleged infidelity.

March 17 – G.M. Guthrie responded to 2501 River Rd. where Misty Few reported the theft of her 2004 white Kia Sorento, valued at $4000.

March 18 – G.M. Guthrie initiated a traffic stop on Hwy. 85 and found that the driver, Abe Thomas, BM, 29, 6’4″, 195 pounds, of Baltimore, had a suspended license in Maryland. During a subsequent search, a small amount of marijuana was found in a piece of luggage belonging to the passenger, Reginald Cornell, BM, 6’5″, 195 pounds also of Baltimore. Both men were taken into custody and transported to ACDC.

March 18 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 10850 Anderson Rd. to the 81 Self Storage facility where Adam Chastain, owner of the units, reported that three of them had been broken into. The losses were estimated at $1800.

March 19 – D.L. Brinston responded to the Fred’s Store at 908 Anderson St. where Sonya McCauley, the manager, reported someone damaged the Coke machine trying to break into it. Damage was estimated at $300.

March 19 – D.L. Brinston was dispatched to 106 Prosperity Blvd. where Robert Latham Sr. reported that someone had stolen one of the surveillance cameras attached to his business. The loss was estimated at $600. There was no surveillance video available.

WILLIAMSTON

March 17 – J.D. Martin responded to the Williamston Police Department to take custody of Melisha Darby, WF, 31, 5’4″, 145 pounds, blond/grn on three active warrants.
