Foothills Alliance, a victim’s services and child abuse prevention agency, is announcing April as the Sexual Assault and Prevent Child Abuse Awareness Month. Throughout the month of April, Foothills Alliance will be having several events in order to raise awareness of our services in Anderson County.

Downtown Anderson Block Party | April 5 | 6 pm | Anderson Courthouse – Kickoff to Foothills Alliance’s $10,000 fundraising campaign during the month of April.

Dancing for our Heroes | April 13 | 7 pm | Anderson Civic Center – Chad McBride, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, will be dancing to raise money & awareness for Foothills Alliance! Tickets are available for $40 and donations can be made to Foothills Alliance.

Fuddruckers Fuddraiser | April 17 | 5-8 pm | Fuddrucker’s-Anderson – Fuddruckers will donate 10% of sales from that night… just tell them you’re there to support us!

Help Keep us Afloat | April 22 | 3-7 pm | Uptown Lounge – Fundraiser with food, entertainment, & family fun at the Uptown Lounge in Downtown Anderson. Will also be displaying the winning cardboard race boat! $5 suggested donation per family. Don’t forget your lawn chair!

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes | April 26 | 5:30 pm | Downtown Anderson

An exercise in perspective where men (wearing women’s shoes) walk at the Downtown Block Party to take a stand against violence against women.

Foothills Alliance is the only organization in Anderson and Oconee counties to exclusively provide counseling and support services to survivors of sexual assault.
