Williamston Police reported only a few incidents in recent days. Among incidents reported were: May 7 – Michelle Rogers, 330 Laura Faye Lane, Lyman reported a possible missing person. Rogers told Williamston police that she had not spoken with her brother Chadwick Ridings since May 7 and that he was possibly missing. Riding was supposedly staying at a residence in Williamston.

May 17 – While conducting an inventory of the evidence room, $12 in one dollar bills was found without any markings or documentation. The funds were turned over the town clerk for inclusion in the department’s covert drug account, codes officer J. Harris reported.

May 18 – SRT/SRO L.D. Ritter investigated an incident with school officials in which a 15 year old male juvenile, a seventeen year old and an 18 year old were allegedly involved in smoking marijuana. During the investigation, the older male threatened the younger. No drugs were found and there were no arrests however, all three were supended from school.

Apr. 1 – Allstates Textile, 547 Mill St., reported approximately 100 pounds of scrap copper pipe valued at $500 taken from the business. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

May 15 – Colt Lamar Poore, 24, 7 E. First St., Williamston reported a white tiger striped pitbull dog taken from inside his fence. The dog is valued at $200. Sgt. D. W. Bryant, M. E. Simmons investigated.

There were several incidents of suspicious persons which turned out to be nothing reportable.
