We hope your are enjoying our new redesigned website! Journal-Online viewers have access to “front page news” posts, obituaries, a church feature and other items that are being posted on the website on a regular basis. The new website also features a blog style format, with popular RSS feeds, facebook and twitter access directly from the site. We have made a lot of new “Facebook Friends” who are following us on a daily basis. We are also learning which news articles our new friends like to see.

As we get more feedback, you may see some changes in the print edition to reflect what we are hearing.

One of our goals for the new website is to post fires, wrecks and other emergency response situations as soon after the event as possible. We are also posting  news stories that we feel you would be interested in if they happen between our weekly print edition printing schedule.

While we are posting more than twice the items we had on our old site, all of which are free, readers are still only getting a fraction of the total news and information published each week in our print and online edition.

The Online Edition of The Journal, which includes a new page flip feature, is available to Online and Print subscription program members. The online edition is the complete newspaper in a digital format and includes all pages with news, sports, school news happenings, church news, opinion and more. If you like the news items we are posting online, we invite you to take advantage of the trial membership or one of the other subscription offers available to readers for “All Access” to The Journal Online.

If you are already a print edition subscriber and would like to have total online access, please contact us.

If you are not an online or print subscriber, we invite you to subscribe to the area’s best source for local news.

We cover Williamston, Pelzer, West Pelzer, Piedmont and surrounding areas including South Greenville and Powdersville.
