Man charged with attempted murder

The Williamston Police Department investigated an attempted murder within the town limits on March 23 in which Chadwick Arnold, 102 Palmetto Rd., Anderson, was identified as the individual who had discharged a handgun into an occupied vehicle.

On April 22 the Anderson Police Department stopped Chadwick, who had outstanding warrants for three counts of attempted murder, resisting arrest and discharging a firearm within the town limits. He was arrested and placed into Anderson County Detention Center where he was being held on no bond.

During a traffic safety checkpoint in Williamston on May 25, the Williamston Police Department arrested five individuals on a variety of charges including possession with intent to distribute Meth – 3 counts, with 3 subjects arrested; driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia, 2 arrested, open container liquor, open container beer, no SC drivers license and possession of schedule IV narcotics.
