Primary Care Aesthetics and Primary Care Associates will present “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” this Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m. at the AnMed Health North Campus. Money raised will assist Anderson County residents fighting cancer with expenses such as gas to get to the doctor and prescription medicine through the Cancer Association of Anderson, this county’s only local cancer charity.

Registration is $25, which comes with a light orange tee shirt, while supplies last. In addition to the one-mile walk, families can participate in face painting, rides on Williamston’s vintage fire truck, Zipper the Clown’s fanciful balloons and other fun activities. At the same time, they can honor or remember loved ones who have been affected by cancer.

To register, go by Primary Care Aesthetics, located by the back entrance of the Oglesby Center at the North Campus. Registration can also be done the morning of the walk beginning at 9 a.m.

Primary Care Aesthetics is also selling Hope Flowers in honor or memory of someone who has fought cancer that can be purchased for $25. The flowers will be planted in the healing garden outside the treatment rooms of the AnMed Health Cancer Center on Thursday, June 21, and donors are invited to participate in planting.
