Williamston Police officers made arrests at a driver’s license checkpoint and investigated other incidents. Among incidents investigated: June 6 – Tammy Brady Wilson, 52, 220 Pineland Meadows Rd., Belton was arrested for outstanding bench warrant for concealed weapons violation after the Anderson County Detention Center notified the WPD that they had her in cusotdy. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

June 8 – Trudi Lane West, 32, 1433 Grady Hall Rd., Anderson was arresed for driving under suspension after a Ford pickup was observed at a driver’s license check point on Greenville Dr. B. C. Kelley investigated.

June 7 – Officers investigated an incident at Parkview Apartments in which Jonathan Ryan Kelly, 26, 216 Parkview Apts. reported being struck in the face. No arrest was made, however it will be presented to a judge to determine if a warrant is justified. Sgt. D. W. Bryant, L. E. Mulz investigated.

June 8 – Officers investigated an incident in which a 12 year old minor riding a John Deere Gator pulled in front of a vehicle driven by Jason Ellis Biggs, 29, 408 Tripp St. The minor and his father were advised that it was illegal for the Gator to be on the roadway and for a minor to operate it. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

June 10 – Randy Harold Manley, 26, 40 Prospect St., Piedmont reported metal valued at $1800 was removed from 28 Ridge Ct., Williamston. A piece of metal that could be identified was located in a local scrap yard. J. Rogers investigated.

June 8 – Eris Shaquynn Corbin, 22, 108 market St., Williamston was arrested for driving under suspension (failure to pay traffic ticket) after a Ford Explorer was observed at a license check point on Greenville Dr. D. M. Stipe investigated.

June 9 – Marvin Laron Helmuth, Jr. 28, 306 Easley Hwy. Pelzer was arrested for driving under the influence after a moped was observed on Minor Street traveling faster than the posted speed limit. D. M. Stipe, B. C. Kelley investigated.

June 8 – Brandon Alezander Earle, 18, 116 Mattison Dr., Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after a Toyota Camry was observed at a drivers license check point on Greenville Dr. Reports state a small amount of marijuana was found in the car’s ash tray. B. C. Kelley investigated.

June 6 – Angel Perez Bautista, 35, 2108 Anderson Hwy., Williamston was arrested for assault and battery (2nd degree) after officers were dispatched to 543 West Main St. The victim stated she was unlawfully touched without her consent.
