Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have arrested two burglary suspects that used Facebook as a means of targeting victims but were then identified with the help of Facebook. Investigators arrested and charged Candace Marie Landreth, 39, of 205 Saluda Dr. Piedmont and Robert Calvin Landreth Jr., 44, of 29 Maxie Ave. Greenville, with burglary 1st and 2nd degrees and grand larceny.

The two suspects burglarized several homes from Williamston to Powdersville in the Anderson County community. A surveillance image of the suspects from a Gamestop video store in Greenville, was posted on the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page in hopes of identifying them. Within hours the suspects were identified via Facebook and investigators were able to make advances in the investigations. Investigators believe that the one of the suspects targeted her friends (victims) based on their Facebook status.

Both Landreth subjects are currently being housed at the Anderson County Detention Center where they will await a bond hearing.
