Members of the Greater Williamston Business Assocation met Tuesday at Subway in Williamston.

President John Thomason reported the GWBA has sent a check for $300 to the IRS for 501C3 application status but has not heard or received anything back on it.

There was considerable discussion about details for The GWBA Golf Tournament which will be held this Friday, Oct. 19 at Saluda Valley Country Club. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. and has 10 teams signed up and 15 hole sponsors. Anyone wishing to enter a team can do so until Friday, organizers said. Organizers are looking for additional sponsors and door prizes.

Members discussed Boo in the Park which will be held Oct. 27 in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. Acting on a motion by Faye Meares, and seconded by Mike Simpson, the group unanimously approved funding up to $300 for candy for the event.

The GWBA will nominate and elect officers for the upcoming year during the next meeting of the GWBA, which will be Nov. 20 at Fiesta.
