Williamston Police Report

Williamston Police Department reported light activity over the last 14 days but a follow up on some earlier reports resulted in incidents involving drugs, guns, attempted murder and more. Among incidents investigated recently were:

Two incidents of harassing phone calls. Oct. 24 – Alarm activation at 547 Mill St.

Oct. 30 – Trespass notice served. Christy Lane Fountain, 28, 219 Tripp St., Williamston was placed on trespass notice for 239 Belton Dr., Williamston. J. Rogers investigated.

Oct. 26 – Haleigh Alexa Layne, 18, 111 Parker St., Williamston was arrested for driving under suspension and no proof of insurance after a black BMW was observed on West Main St. with high beam lights on and failed to dim lights. T. D. Hoover, M. E. Simmons investigated.

Oct. 31 – Henry Matthew Agee, 30, 10701 Augusta Rd., Honea Path was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after being observed in the roadway at Greenville Dr. and Tripp St. and then pushing a car down Tripp St. Upon investigation, officers found needles, a small spoon and a clear glass pipe. Oct. 30 – Officers investigated a domestic dispute in the Town of Williamston in which two brothers were fighting over the misplacement of a razor. No charges were filed. L. E. Mulz investigated.

The following incidents were reported earlier this year but due to various reasons or missing information were not included in The Journal at the time:

Sept. 6 – Jamye Leigh Sanders, 33, 913 Anderson Dr., Williamston was placed on trespass notice for Palmetto High School, 804 N. Hamilton St., Williamston after a parent reported an incident involving his 15 year old son and Sanders that occurred over the summer. Reports show the parent stated that contact between his son and Sanders would be detrimental to his son’s well being. SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

Sept. 23 – Williamston officers assisted in the arrest of Branigan Oreilly Mills, 30, 7 Waxhaw Way, Greenville in connection with a black tool box and a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 pickup which was reported stolen from the Jockey Lot. The tool box was located at a residence on E. 1st St. Mills was located at 107 Williams St,. Ext. where he was arrested and turned over to Deputy Williams. Industrial metal reported stolen from Greenville County was also recovered. T.D. Hoover investigated.

Sept. 7 – Kelley Frances Padfield, 45, 10 Dottie Ct., Williamston was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to Hillcrest Baptist Church , 1300 Anderson Dr., in connection with an unruly person.

Sept. 8 – Williamston officers assisted in the arrest of Avery Limus Acker, 34, 31 Randall St., Williamston after officers recognized him at the Stop N Go as a wanted person. According to reports, Acker was wanted by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office for attempted murder and by the Seneca Police Dept. for breach of peace. Acker was arrested at his father’s house in Belton after the vehicle he was seen in in Williamston was spotted by Belton police officers. Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies also assisted in the arrest. J. Rogers investigated.

July 2 – Christopher Ray Alewine, 33, 341 Mize Rd., Belton was arrested for violation of SC gun law, possession of stolen property and driving under suspension after a 1995 Toyota Camry was observed in the parking lot of the Fast Fuel on West Main St. Report states officers suspected the driver was involved in an attempted murder case in Anderson County. Upon conducting a traffic stop, numerous guns and ammunition were found in the vehicle. Alewine was later charged with three counts of unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of handgun with removed serial number and possession of stolen property. J. Rogers, B. C. July 15 – Travis Dwayne Shaw, 20, 4 Conner St., Pelzer was arrested for outstanding warrant after officers were called to Parkview Apartments in reference to a domestic dispute. Keyley Martay Wade, 21, 2225 Cannon Bottom Rd., Belton was arrested and issued a ticket for furnishing false information to an officer. L. E. Mulz, SC B. Hardy investigated.

July 15 – Kelsey Jo Mulherin, 21, 6 Jansson Ct., Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no tag light after a vehicle was observed on Academy St., with no tag light. According to reports, officers found a small pink container with a green leafy susbstance that field tested to be marijuana. Officers also found a glass bowl containing a partially burnt green leafy substance and rolling papers. A total of .5 grams of marijuana was found. L. E. Mulz, SC B. Hardy investigated.

July 5 – Christopher Carroll Reid, 32, 222 Williamston Ct, (evicted) was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia after officers responded to Parkview Apartments to check on the apartment. Upon entering officers found a small baggie with clear rock substance, silver spoon, a scale and a homemade tattoo gun in the apartment. L. E. Mulz, T. A. Striss investigated.
