AATC to recognize homecoming queens

Phil Kornblut, co-host of Sports Talk, will be the Anderson Area Touchdown Club guest speaker on Friday, November 16..

Kornblut is highly regarded for covering college football and basketball recruiting and has received the South Carolina Sportscaster of the Year award six times. Homecoming Queens of the area schools will also be honored at this week’s meeting.

The Touchdown Club meets at the Anderson County Library with the meal line opening at 11:30am and the program beginning at 12:10pm. Visitors are welcome and the meal cost is $15.

Players and coach who were honored at the Club’s meeting on Friday, November 9th are as follows: Co-Offensive – Korey Thompson, BHP and Alex Haynes, Pendleton; Defensive – Dalston Davis, Crescent; Lineman – Jamar Brown, Westside and Coach – John Boggs, Westside

Players and coach honored at the Club’s meeting on Friday, November 2 include: Offensive – Matt Williams, BHP; Co-Defensive – Logan Wright, Wren and Ben Boulware, Hanna; Lineman – John Johnson, Pendleton; Coach – Russell Blackston, BHP.
