Williamston Police Officers investigated the following:

Dec. 4 – William Joe Lewis, 62, 118 Boyd St., Anderson and Sherry Lynn Meredith, 52, 206 Carolina Inn Motel, Anderson were arrested for shoplifting and Lewis was charged with public disorderly conduct after WPD was dispatched to Ace Hardware, 29 Pelzer Avenue. Video survelliance from the store showed Lewis and Meredith took a 12 piece socket set valued at $89 on Dec. 4 and multiple items valued at $221.88 on Dec. 6. Cpl. L. E. Mulz, Lt. T. A. Striss investigated.

Dec. 5 – Hazel S. Acker, 82, 20 Mattison St,. Williamston reported vandalism in which a rock was thrown through a window of the house causing $200 in damage. J. Eppes investigated.

Dec. 5 – Officers were dispatched to 116 Williamston Ct,. Parkview Apartments regarding a larceny. According to reports, officers investigated an incident in which Mikala Norris claimed prescription pills were taken by Jonathan Ryan Kelly. Kelly told officers the pills were being sold to him but he decided he did not want them and they were left outside his door by Norris. Officers took possession of a pill bottle with no label containing four hydrocodone pills on the breezeway. No arrests were made. Cpl. L. E. Mulz, J. Eppes investigated.

Dec. 5 – Mike Kelly reported approximately $113 in cash taken from a student’s vehicle while parked at Palmetto High School, 804 N. Hamilton St., Williamston. A warrant was issued Dec. 11 for Cody Keith Dalrymple, 17, 130 Hemlock Dr., Williamston in connection with the incident. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

Dec. 5 – Mike Kelly, Palmetto High School reported a flashdrive containing music and valued at $10 was taken from a vehicle parked at the school. A warrant was issued Dec. 11 for Cody Keith Dalrymple, 17, 130 Hemlock Dr., Williamston in connection with the incident. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

Dec. 5 – Mike Kelly, Palmetto High School reported a pair of Oakley sunglasses valued at $150 taken from a vehicle parked at the school. A warrant was issued Dec. 11 for Cody Keith Dalrymple, 17, 130 Hemlock Dr., Williamston in connection with the incident. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

Dec. 6 – Vetta Summers, 77, 11 Market St., Williamston reported the front door kicked in causing $100 in damage. Cpl. L. E. Mulz, Lt. T. A. Striss investigated.

Dec. 7 – Joseph Wyatt Atkin, 35, 119 Wyatt Pruitt Rd, Honea Path was arrested for public disorderly conduct after officers observed him on West Main St. Sgt. E. T. Hutchins investigated.

Dec. 7 – Officers investigated an incident of unlawful piercing in which a 15-year-old juvenile student at Palmetto High School allegedly pierced the naval area of two other juvenile students while at the school. After speaking with school administration, parents and victims, it was decided that no criminal charges would be pending. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

Dec. 9 – Bryan Allen Cornett, 25, 12 Cleveland St., Williamston was arrested for an outstanding bench warrant with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to 3001 Hwy. 153 where he was taken into custody by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. K. D. Lollis investigated.

Dec. 9 – Michael David Hamby, 51, 1607 Anderson Dr., Wililamston reported a company sign for Palmetto Property and Real Estate Corporation stolen from Mineral Spring Park. The sign is valued at $100. R. E. Bell investigated.

Dec. 9 – Johnny Ray Calhoun, 53, 1425 Broad St., Anderson was arrested for shoplifting at Dollar General, 526 W. Main St. Officers found 30 boxes of allergy type medication on his person. The items were valued at $182. M. E. Simmons investigated.
