An industrial accident early Tuesday morning has killed a 62 year old Piedmont man. Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore (pictured entering the building) said the accident happened at Stanco Metal Products at 107 Twenty Nine Court off Hwy. 29 near Williamston. According to Shore, the man was working on a stamping machine when he fell into the machine. The machine has a safety feature that should have shut it down if something went wrong and initial reports indicated the safety feature may not have been working at the time of the accident. Officials said family members were being notified and OSHA is on the way to do their own investigation.
