MARY ANN HOOPS
Mary Ann Hoops, 76, of Anderson, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, she was  the daughter of the late John Henry Hoops, Sr. and the late Margaret Crawford Hoops. She was a caregiver and was a member of Orrville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Leonard Vickery Jr. of Anderson, Michael Vickery of Williamston, David Vickery of Williamston and Patty Stewart of Starr; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral service was held Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

CHRISTINE  WILLIAMSON
Pamela Christine Carter Williamson, 41, of Belton, wife of Carey Dale Williamson, died on Monday, February 4, 2013.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of Thomas Jerry and Janice Diane Blocker Carter of Williamston.  She was formerly employed with Fabri-Kal and a member of the Williamston Church of God.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her son, Devin Carter of the home; sisters, Cheryl Clardy of Williamston, Marsha Roberts and Rebecca Powell, both of Belton.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 8, at the Williamston Church of God.  Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29261.

MARY STEPHENS
PIEDMONT – Mary Sue Johnson Stephens, 80, of 642 Old Pelzer Road, widow of Hoyt H. Stephens, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Joe M. and Thelma Robinson Johnson.  She retired from Carolina Blouse and attended Grove Station Baptist Church in Piedmont where she was a faithful member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her brother, Floyd L. Johnson of the home; a sister-in-law, Janice Johnson of Piedmont; her niece and nephews, whom she considered “her children,” Steve Johnson (Pam), of Mobile, AL, Jerry Johnson (Frankie), of Anderson, Tammy Buchanan (Bobby), of Goodview, VA, Rick Boggs (Lynn), of Irmo, Bill Boggs (Pam), of Columbia, Mike Boggs, of Yorktown, VA, and Angie Bell (Shawn), of Easley; many great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; friends; and her beloved dog, Priss.
She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Joe Johnson; and a sister, Betty Jean Boggs.
Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Grove Station Baptist Church. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Family members are at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grove Station Baptist Church, 640 Piedmont Highway, Piedmont, SC 29673.

DEVIN MORRIS
Devin Cole Morris, 21, of Easley, died at his home.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of Randy Joe and Connie Johnson Morris of Easley.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Bentley Cole Morris; brother, Matthew Clayton Morris, of the home; half-brother, Brandon Joshua Mauldin of Liberty; grandparents, Bill and Sherry Johnson, of Simpsonville, Margaret and Melvin Barr of Easley; and great-grandmother, Margie Hightower of Taylors.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 9, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

FRANCES McDOWELL
Frances Allen McDowell, 90, formerly of Piedmont, widow of Grover L. McDowell, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at Glorifed Health and Rehab.
Born in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Ethel C. Allen.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by a son, Tracy L. McDowell of Greenville.
Graveside services were held Monday, February 11 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MARTIN DENDY LAWLESS
Martin Dendy Lawless, 82, of Greenville, widower of Catherine Holcombe Lawless, died Friday, February 8, 2013.
Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late C.G. and Cleo Lawless.
He was a real estate developer and a member of Eastlan Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra L. Howard of Greenville, and Kathy L. Miller of San Francisco, CA; son, Martin D. Lawless, Jr. of Greenville; sister, Joyce L. Smith of Piedmont; three brothers, David F. Lawless, Charles T. Lawless, and William L. Lawless, all of Piedmont; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday, February 11 in the Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

LILLIE MAJOR
Lillie Florence Lollis Major, 89, formerly of Easley, widow of John Wesley Major, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Ola Page Garrett and John Lollis.  She was previously employed by J.P. Stevens and a member at Shiloh Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons Harry Major of Piedmont, Frank Major of Easley, Rev. Wayne Major of Ruffin, and Ray Major of Easley; daughters Betty Lou Noblitt of Liberty and Vickie Allison of Piedmont; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.  She was the last surviving member of her family.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Shiloh Methodist Church. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MARY CRENSHAW
PIEDMONT – Marie Agnes Davis Crenshaw, 70, of 722 Hwy. 17, widow of Charlie Crenshaw, Sr., died Monday, February 11, 2013 at Hosanna Health and Rehab.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Monedithes Davis.  She was retired from Stone Manufacturing and attended Pelzer First Baptist Church.  She was a very special person with a big heart!
Surviving are son, Charlie Crenshaw, Jr. of the home; sisters, Earlene Anthony and Claudia Keeler, both of Piedmont; brother, Jack Stanley Davis of Spartanburg.
She was predeceased by a brother, Douglas Eugene Davis.
Memorial services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

NELL LEWIS WICKS
Nell Lewis Wicks, 83, of Piedmont, widow of Lloyd George Wicks, Sr. died Sunday, February 10, 2013.
Born in Newport, TN, she was a daughter of the late George and Elmer Hannah Lewis.
She is survived by daughter, Ellen Wicks of Piedmont; sons, Lloyd G. Wicks, Jr. of Pelzer, Jim Wicks of Linden, AL, Eddie Wicks of Easley, and Bob Wicks of Piedmont; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14 from 12:00 until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral will follow at 1:30 at the Northwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
The family will be at their respective homes.
