The public is invited to the meeting which will be held Monday Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. at the Anderson County Legislative Delegation office in Anderson to talk about school safety and security. Representative Don Bowen will host the meeting. Bowen is introducing legislation on the state level to help with the issue of school safety.
School District One parent Jennifer Opper encourages all parents interested in what can be done to help improve school safety and security to come to the meeting.
Opper has talked with several state representatives and School District One officials about the issue and is working with them in hopes of increasing state funding for school security.
