A downed power pole resulted in a power outage in the Wren area Friday morning. The pole was knocked down by a vehicle and due to no power, Wren area schools canceled school for the day.
Teachers and staff at Wren Middle were in the dark and used flashlights while they waited on a decision by the District Office on whether school would be canceled.
