South Carolina Congressman Jeff Duncan has again been recognized by a conservative organization for his outstanding voting record.

On Saturday, FreedomWorks announced the 2nd Annual winners of the FreedomFighter Award, and Congressman Duncan received the prestigious award for the second year in a row.

“Congressman Jeff Duncan took a stand against the Washington special interest machine and proved himself a true defender of economic freedom with a perfect score of 100 percent on the FreedomWorks Congressional Scorecard. FreedomWorks encourages Congressman Duncan to keep fighting the good fight to protect South Carolina taxpayers, and bring back fiscal sanity and accountability to the federal government,” FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe commented.

“When it comes to living within our means, constitutional roles of government, and free markets I’m going to be principled,” Duncan said. “I’m always going to be that way when it comes to those ideologies. I firmly believe we must return to the intentions of our Founding Fathers because we have gone too far in the wrong direction.”

Also receiving the award were Senators Jim DeMint (SC), Mike Lee (UT) and Rand Paul (KY); and Representatives Justin Amash (MI-3), Paul Broun (GA-10), Jeff Flake (AZ), Tim Huelskamp (KS-1), Tom McClintock (CA-4), Mick Mulvaney (SC-5), and David Schweikert (AZ-5). The winners scored a minimum of 90% on the FreedomWorks Congressional Scorecard, which measures votes in favor of economic liberty and constitutionally-limited government.

This latest award follows a series of high scores from conservative groups, including a perfect 100% from the American Conservative Union, 97% from Heritage Action, 96% from the Club for Growth, and a 91% from the Citizens Against Government Waste.
