Williamston Police Officers investigated several thefts and minor drug related incidents. Among incidents investigated were:

May 27 – Sav-Way, 309 East Main St., reported a gas drive off in which a dark sports car pumped $21.11 of 87 Octane gas and drove off without paying. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

May 25 – Officers investigated an assault at 303 Hardy St. No arrest was made at the time but warrants are expected. D. Crawford investigated.

May 25 – Cynthia Marie Huckaby, 44, 20 Circle Drive, Williamston reported two bicycles stolen from the property. One was a green Next trick bike valued at $60 and the other was a brown Mongoose trick bike valued at $65. A. Eliopoulos, Capt. K. Marsee investigated.

May 25 – Jerry Wayne Owens, 36, 102 W 2nd St., Williamston was arrested for criminal domestic violence second offense after officers were dispatched to the address in reference to a domestic situation. D. Crawford investigated.

May 25 – Michael Darwin Lambert, 43, 118 Brookview Circle, Pelzer was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after officers were dispatched to McDonalds parking lot in reference to a verbal altercation. Reports state that upon arrival at McDonalds, a white Toyota Tundra truck was observed leaving the parking lot in a hurry. A traffic stop was made at West Main and Gossett Dr. during which it was determined Lambert and a passenger identified as Summer Frady both had active warrants. During the arrest, officers found two small white baggies containing a green leafy plant like substance field tested as marijuana in his pants pocket and right sock. J. Rogers investigated.

May 23 – Michael Dewayne Miller, Jr., 43, 826 Joe Black Road #6, Williamston was arrested for an active bench warrant with probation and parole department after officers were dispatched to Anderson Drive and Keys St. in reference to a moped accident. M. E. Simmons investigated.

May 22 – James Gillespie, 65, 122 W First St,. Williamston reported scratch marks on both sides of a blue Chevrolet truck. Damage was estimated at $300. M. E. Simmons, C. Whitefield investigated.

May 20 – Thane Steele, 53, 803 Tripp St., Williamston reported an incident in which a person identified as JB left the residence spinning tires and damaging grass causing $100 in damage. T. D. Hoover investigated.

May 17 – Jeffrey Todd Motes, 38, 25 Ellis Ave., Williamston reported a burglary at a residence at 2 Broad St., Williamston. Forced entry was gained by breaking a window. It was unknown at the time what items were missing. d. Crawford investigated.

May 26 – Sgt. K. J. Winn assisted West Pelzer Police Dept. with a burglary incident at 16 Dendy St. in West Pelzer. The scene was processed for latent prints with negative results.

May 17 – Julius Laprell Donald, 50, 136 Cobb Rd. Pelzer was issued a courtesy summons for operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to register a vehicle after a Honda Accord was observed on S. Hamilton St. with a paper tag that appeared to have been altered. J. Rogers investigated.
