A Greenville man was fatally injured Sunday when the vehicle he was driving South bound on I-85 hit a ditch embankment and went airborne striking a tree 12 feet off the ground. Christopher David Garrick, 34, died from multiple blunt force trauma after being thrown from the 1993 Honda. The man’s body was found 132 feet from the car, officials said. Anderson County Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman and Piercetown Fire Chief Andrew Massey look over the vehicle. The accident occured at the 25 mile marker at approximately 6:30 a.m. Garrick was not wearing a seat belt officials said.
