The Anderson County Libertarians will hold their annual Carolina Day Picnic on Saturday, June 22, at 1 pm in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. The public is invited for fun, food, fellowship and political discussions as area Libertarians celebrate Carolina Day. It is a covered dish picnic that will be held in one of the covered shelters and there will be snacks and drinks available.

Persons attending are also asked to bring canned goods or other non-perishable food items for a local food bank. “This will give the libertarian party rank-and-file a way to practice what we preach and help people without government and a great opportunity to educate the public on libertarian values,” said Doug Taylor, Anderson County Libertarian Party Chairman.

There will be no forum and no guest speakers, only a day of fellowship for the party rank & file and their families. Potential Libertarian Party candidates are welcome to attend and talk one on one with other party supporters.
