Spring Water Festival offers entertainment, fun

The 32nd Annual Spring Water Festival will include a variety of entertainment during the two day event which will be held next Friday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 24 in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. Friday night will feature “Beach Music” with the Original Out-of-Towners Band. Saturday’s entertainment will feature festival headliner Loretta Holloway, a jazz and R&B singer from Belton. Holloway is known as South Carolina’s “First Lady of Song.”

Returning this year will be Hendersonville singer/songwriter Tom Fisch. His songs have been recorded by a number of artists, including the Oak Ridge Boys . His CD “We Could Use A Little Rain” was recorded in Nashville and includes a special appearance by former Sea Level guitarist Jimmy Nalls on “Another Hot Day In The South.” Fisch will also be featured on the Children’s Stage performing traditional children’s favorites.

Saturday entertainment will include local favorites the Royal Scotsmen Band and Odyssey. Also appearing will be Blue Sky, a blues band from Powdersville.

There will be an all day gospel showcase and special children’s entertainment by Jack’s Drum Shack, K&M Dance, Tom Fisch and others.

A new T-Shirt design in two popular colors is now available at ERS Radio Shack in Williamston. The shirt is available in blue or tangerine and features a Spring House logo. Festival T-Shirts are selling quickly and are expected to sell out this year.

The festival will again include the 5K Spring Water Run, approximately 50 craft vendors, local business and non-profit displays, antique auto show, antique firetruck rides, children’s entertainment and rides and a farmers market.
