CINDY TUTTON
Ware Shoals – Cynthia Laverne Nabors Tutton, 48, wife of Roy Eugene Tutton, of 71 Maddox Bridge Rd., died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Barbara Ann Atkins Nabors and Maxie Brooks Nabors. She was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: one daughter: Vanessa Nicole Tutton of the home; two brothers: James Nabors of Pelzer and Walter Nabors of Fountain Inn; one sister: Ruth Ann Knight; one grandson: Jackson Eugene Atkins Tutton of the home; four nephews, and four nieces. She is also survived by two beloved pet dogs.
She was predeceased by two brothers: Buddy and Randall Nabors.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial followed in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

JOE HENRY BIBBS
Funeral services for Joe Henry Bibbs were held Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Brown Funeral Home, Greenville.
Surviving are a son, James Williams of Piedmont; and brother, James Bibbs of Greenville.

REV. RAY RUSSELL
Rev. Buddy Ray Russell, 59, of Easley, died Thursday, September 12, 2013.
Born in Waynesville, NC, a son of the late Ransom Moody “Buddy” and Gladys Frady Russell he was pastor of Riverview Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon League Russell of the home; two daughters, Laura McDonald of Piedmont and Lindsey Titus of Easley; brother, John R. Russell of Leicester, NC; sister, Nina Messer of Waynesville, NC; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Riverview Baptist Church. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

DAVID RUSSELL JONES
David Russell Jones, 78, husband of Ethel Lee Funk Jones, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013.
Born in Pontiac, MI, he was a son of the late William Ranson and Dorothy Anne Smith Jones.
He retired from Winn-Dixie and attended Riverview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Brenda Tallon of Geenville; son, William Jones of Piedmont; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Douglas Paul Jones of Taylor, MI and Dan J. Jones of Okemos, MI.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

LUCKY POWELL
Lucky Shane Powell, 37, of Piedmont, husband of Amber Leigh Yon Powell, died Friday, September 13, 2013.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Alvin Wiley Powell and Dorothy Annette Brock Powell Davis.
He was formerly employed with Southerland Construction.
Surviving are his wife, son, Aaron Wiley Powell, daughter, Madison Grace Powell, all of the home; sisters, Teresa Retz of Palm Springs, CA and Donna Powell of San Diego, CA.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 22 at 3pm at Grace Baptist Church, 11 Virginia Ave., Greenville, SC 29611.
The family will receive friends following the service.

MARGARET PIERCE
Margaret Browning Blackston Pierce, 87, formerly of Piedmont, died Friday, September 13, 2013.
Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late W.C. and Margie Fennell Browning.
She was retired from the Greenville County Health Department and a member of Burnetta Baptist Church in Nancy, KY.
She was twice married, first to the late J.C. Blackston and then to Paul Pierce of Kentucky.
Surviving are her son John Blackston of Hartwell, GA; four grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held September 16 in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

DYLAN MICHAEL BONCK
Dylan Michael Bonck, 18, of Belton, died Thursday, September 12, 2013.
Bon in Metairie, LA, he was a son of Christel Ann Scott and husband Keith, and Nick Eugene Bonck.
He graduated from Woodmont High School and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister, Nicole Trosclair; half-sister, Amanda Bonck; step-brothers, Tyler and Travis Scott; grandparents, George and Linda Weidert and Sharon Emilio; and step-grandparents, Preston and Sue Scott.
Funeral service was held September 15 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

GERALDINE ‘JERRY’ RILEY TROTTER
Geraldine (Jerry) Riley Trotter of Pelzer, died Sunday, September 15, 2013.
Born October 12, 1931, she was predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Riley, and by a son, Ronald Welborn Trotter.
She was a member of the Pelzer-Williamston Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband Jerome (Ronnie) Butler Trotter, III and her children, Michael Riley Trotter, Margaret Lou (Meg) Trotter, Jerome Butler (J. B.) Trotter, IV, all of Pelzer; two grandchildren; and a special adopted son, Stephan McLean; a sister, Mrs. C. W. (Patsy) Brown of Florence.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 18 at Pelzer Presbyterian Church.  Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.

C.K. CHRISTY, JR.
WILLIAMSTON – Cornelius Klutz Christy, Jr., 64, of 203 Lewis Rd., widower of Joyce Hicks Christy, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home.
Born in Burlington, NC, he was the son of the late C.K. Christy, Sr. and Edna Juanita James Christy.  He was formerly employed with Youngblood Truck Lines.  Mr. Christy was a United States Navy veteran, a Mason, and a Shriner.
Surviving are daughter, Kimberly Dawn Christy Thompson of Belton; stepson, Jeff Phillips of Greenville; grandchildren, Makala, Austin and Ashlyn Thompson and Brent Phillips; sister, Nancy Christy Day (Donald) of Columbia; two nieces and five nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother and sister.
Visitation was held from 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer, with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
