Palmetto Reunion Saturday – All alumni invited

Palmetto High Alumni are having a reunion for all classes this Saturday, Sept. 21 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. The Big Red Reunion will celebrate 60 years of Palmetto High School. All Palmetto High Alumni, teachers and former teachers are invited.

The event will recognize all classes. Special teacher honorees will include, Wayne Rogers, Milton Owens, Hester Cook and Dale Harper. There will be local food vendors and live music by NuSound and Memory Lane.

Memory Lane will feature songs from the 60s and will begin at 6 p.m. NuSound will feature songs from various artists from the 70s and 90s and will start at 7 p.m.

The Williamton Fire Department will have fire truck rides on the town’s antique fire truck and the Williamston Police Department will have Hummer rides.

There will be door prizes, a big screen TV drawing and a 50/50 drawing.

Tickets and T-Shirts will be available from Alumni at the Palmetto High football game on Friday night and at the event on Saturday.

There is no cost to attend, however donations will be accepted. Sponsors are also welcome, organizers said.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Palmetto High School Gym.
