Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following:

EASLEY

Oct. 4 – B. Vaughn responded to 102 Wigeon Way where Jeffrey McAbee reported the theft of several items from his vehicle, including a black rain coat, a yellow safety vest, his wallet and his Chaplain badge. The loss was estimated at $145.

Oct. 5 – S.L. Steward responded to 11410 Anderson Rd. to the WalMart store where Matthew Davis reported that Casey Walker, WM, 23, 5’2″, 114 pounds had been detained for shoplifting. He was taken into custody by Steward and transported to ACDC.

Oct. 6 – S.L. Steward responded to 11410 Anderson Rd. to the WalMart where Matthew Davis reported that Tiffany Curtis, WF, 26, 5’2″, 150 pounds, had been detained for shoplifting. Steward transported her to ACDC.

PELZER

Oct. 4 – Danielle Cuddie, of Pelzer, appeared at the ACSO headquarters in Anderson to report four checks from her account being forged. She presented affidavits of forgery from her bank.

Oct.5 – J.G. Williams was dispatched to Pelzer Point Shell station at 1712 Easley Hwy. where the store clerk reported that three black males came in and stole a bottle of wine and two cases of beer. When he followed them outside, they confronted him. He called law enforcement. The value of the stolen items was $28.00.

PIEDMONT

Oct. 4 – P.A. Cochrane was dispatched to 943 Highway 17 where Patricia Bagwell reported the theft of her husband’s 1995 FatBoy Harley Davidson motorcycle. She heard the bike being cranked and ran outside where she saw a male riding the bike away. The loss was estimated at $14,000.

Oct. 5 – P.A. Cochrane responded to 101 Kennedy Lane where Michele Barrett reported the theft of a pressure washer valued at $250.

Oct. 5 – D.L. Brinston was on patrol when he saw a green KIA at the Super 8 motel parking lot at that location. Upon checking the tag number, he learned that the car was stolen from Greenville county. He approached the car and subsequently took Barry McClamrock, WM, 31, 6’2″, 205 pounds, from Traveler’s Rest into custody for possession of stolen property.

Oct. 6 – E.S. Russell and T.J. Richardson responded to the Spinx convenience store and gas station at Hwy. 86 and I-85 after reports of a drunk on scene panhandling money. A driver approached them and told them about someone at the adjacent business who was yelling and cursing at people. They eventually located George Jenkins, WM, 53, 5’5″, 140 pounds, from Foss OK and took him into custody for public disorderly conduct.

Oct. 6 – B. Vaughn responded to 106 Little John Dr. where David Gaffney reported the theft of a TomTom GPS unit from his vehicle. The loss was set at $250.

WILLIAMSTON

Oct. 4 – S. Hill was dispatched to Sims Storage at 1515 Anderson Dr. where Wanda Holder reported that someone had broken into her unit and stolen a drum set and camcorder valued at $170.

Oct. 6 – S.R. Davis responded to 211 Foster Rd. where Christopher Gurley reported the theft of his 204 Polaris ATV, valued at $2500.
