JAMES CLAYTON SULLIVAN
James Clayton Sullivan, 80, of Williamston, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013.
Born in Fair Play, he was the son of the late Alton Sullivan and the late Opel Stone Sullivan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He retired from Southern Weaving and was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Mike Sullivan of Pickens; brother, Joe Sullivan of Fair Play; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Oct. 11 at Beaverdam Baptist Church in Williamston. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

DONNIE MAE HOLDEN
Donnie Mae Yonce Holden, 88, of Belton, widow of William Cleveland Holden, Sr., passed away October 9, 2013 at her home.
Born in Gillsville, GA, she was a daughter of the late John William and Mollie Dyer Yonce.  She was a member of Wren Church of God in Easley.
Surviving are daughters, Molly Ann Forrester of Greer, Becky Holden (Wimpey) of Belton, Sheila Coleman of Easley, Nancy Starnes of Belton; son, William C. (Billy) Holden, Jr. of Belton; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

HENRY FRANK HOPKINS
Henry Frank Hopkins, 94, of Greenville, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fountain Inn, he was the son of the late William and Myra Sullivan Hopkins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean Wright of Greenville; brother, John Hopkins of Pelzer; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.

BETTY JEAN WALKER
Betty Jean Walker, 73, of Mauldin, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Anderson and Lucille Hamilton Anderson.
Surviving are daughter, Theresa Humbert of Pelzer; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Estella A. Lewers of Greenville.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

PHILLIP D. WHITE
Phillip Dean White, 64, of Anderson, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late C.L. and Laura Jean Ellison White.
He retired from Estes Plant and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Waters White of the home; son, David White of Williamston; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother, Ronnie White of Pelzer.
Graveside services were held Monday, October 14 at Old Silver Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.

EGLAN STARKEY O’SHEAL
Eglan Starkey O’Sheal, 97, of Greenville, widow of Pinkney I. O’Sheal died Thursday, October 10, 2013.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late James Walker and Jessie Norris Starkey.
She was a homemaker and a member of Westville Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Glenn and Benny, both of Easley, Gary of Piedmont, Carroll of Lincolnton, NC, and Mike of Piedmont; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sunday, October 13 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Burial followed in Graceland Cemetery, West.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

CHARLES RAY PAYTON
Charles Ray Payton, 63, of Belton, husband of the late Judy Lane Smith Payton, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at his home.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Joel and Selma Hughes Payton. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Cooper Sand and Gravel as a truck driver.
Surviving are three daughters, Darlene Stack and Martha Beddingfield of Belton, and Amanda Autry of Williamston; brother, Bobby Joe Payton of Belton; three sisters, Betty Sue Timms of Anderson, Joann McAlister and Teresa Duvall of Belton; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

C. FRED BAGWELL
Columbus Freddie Bagwell, 76, husband of Donna Bothfield Bagwell of Mauldin, died Saturday, October 12, 2013.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Claude and Reb Roach Bagwell.
He served in the United States Army during the Berlin Air Lift.
He retired from Kemet Corporation as a mechanical engineer.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Cheri Free and Frieda Hughes, both of Anderson, and Kimberly Barton of Powdersville; son, William Bagwell of Anderson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Rabb and Cynthia West; and two brothers, David and Herman Bagwell.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, Oct. 16 in the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Burial followed in Graceland East Memorial Park.

BRENT ANDREW ELROD
Brent Andrew Elrod, 20, of Piedmont, died Thursday, October 10, 2013.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of Randy Lewis and Kathy Gregory Elrod.
He was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church, a graduate of Wren High School and a Junior at North Greenville University.
He was a Student Pastor at Pathway Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his sister, Jennifer Elrod of the home; and grandmother, Melbree Elrod.
The celebration of life was held Sunday, October 13 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

MARGARETT SEXTON
WILLIAMSTON – Margarett Ann Monroe Sexton, 78, of Williamston, widow of Harrison Sexton, passed away October 13, 2013.
Born in Colon, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Mabel Monroe.  She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are daughters, Diane Marie McCall of Piedmont, Jennifer Ann Sexton of Williamston; sons, Harrison James, Randy Albert, Daniel Scott Sexton, all of Williamston, David Archie Sexton of Anderson; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Wednesday at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Pelzer.

CLARA ZEAGER
WILLIAMSTON – Clara Genevieve Stump Zeager, 80, of 511 Irby Road, widow of Stanley Donald Zeager, died Monday, October 14, 2013.
Born in Columbia, PA, she was a daughter of the late John Miller and Catherine Calp Stump.  She was a homemaker and a Jehovah’s Witness.
Surviving are daughters, Judy Moyer of Oklahoma, Barbara Little of Williamston, Christine Hurd of Alma, NY; sons, Jack Zeager of Taylors, Jay Zeager of Cuba, NY, Lawrence Zeager of Williston; sister, Mary Hess of Elizabethtown, PA; 23 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Piedmont.
Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Anderson.

JOYE CLARDY
Joye Denise Sloan Clardy, 53, of Pendleton, died Monday, October 14, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, she was a teacher at Midway Elementary School and member of Hope Fellowship Church.
She is survived by her husband Randy Clardy of the home; three children, Brittany Clardy Porter of Easley, Zane Clardy of Santee and Caitlyn Clardy Zearley of Williamston; two grandchildren; parents, Jerry Sloan and Beth King Griffin; two brothers, Jay Sloan of Anderson and Michael Sloan of Pendleton; and sister, Whitney Sloan Ramsey of Pendleton.
She was predeceased by her step-father, Jim King.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Hope Fellowship Church.

NANCY LOUISE DAVIS KEMMERLY
Nancy Louise Davis Kemmerly, 78, of Lake Charles, LA, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 in a Lake Charles care facility.
She was born in Honea Path and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lexington.
Surviving are her daughter, Dianne Dukes Sparrow of Lexington; son, Marshall Dukes of Moss Bluff, LA; siblings, Elbert Davis of Honea Path, Barbara Summers of Williamston, Peggy Lou Hyland of Dayton, OH, Woodrow Davis of Belton, and Gloria Moon of Belton; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mae and Sammie Davis.
Funeral service was held Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Eastview Cemetery of Honea Path.
