Running in the Conference Carolina Championship Meet at Frank Liske Park in Concord, N.C., Erskine College junior (and former Palmetto High Cross Country runner) Marlee Rhodes shattered the school 5K record with a time of 18:42 to finish 4th overall. As a team, Erskine finished 8th in the 10 team field.
Rhodes broke the record she had established earlier this season by 36 seconds. With her finish, Rhodes also earned All-Conference honors, the first Fleet female runner to earn All-Conference recognition since Jessica Martin in 2004.
Erskine will complete their season in two weeks at the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet to be held at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, N.C.
