DIANE CARTER
Diane Blocker Carter, 67, of Williamston, wife of Thomas Jerry Carter, died on November 19, 2013.
Born in East Tallassee, AL, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Powell Blocker.  She was a homemaker and a member of High Praises Church of God.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Marsha Roberts of Belton, Cheryl Clardy of Williamston, Rebecca Powell of Belton; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, ; brothers, Donnie Blocker of Brownsville, TX, Ronnie Blocker of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Aletha Jordan of AL, Robin Lehman of Pensacola, FL.
The funeral service was held Saturday at High Praises Church of God.  Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

VELDEE OWENS
Veldee Owens, 87, of Pelzer, died Saturday, November 16, 2013.
Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Herman Owens and Lillie Shamblee Owens.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Williamston.
Surviving are one daughter, Valeria Owens; two sisters, Vetta Owens and Sue Franklin; two brothers, Levonia Owens and Wardell Owens.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery.

FREEMAN PATTERSON, JR.
Freeman Patterson, Jr., 82, of Pickens, died Thursday, November 21, 2013.
He was born in Pickens County to the late Freeman and Kizzie Powell Patterson.
He was the owner of Patterson’s Auto Sales and a member of Northside Baptist Church in Pickens.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Meece Patterson of the home; son, Mark Freeman Patterson of Williamston; daughter, Marsha J. Patterson of Greenville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Northside Baptist Church in Pickens. Burial followed at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

TITUS R. CULLINS
Titus R. Cullins, 31, of Piedmont, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of Rudolph and Roxie Cullins of the home.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, is his sister Rochelle Cullins-Griggs of Piedmont.
Funeral Service was held Sunday at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

JOHN R. CROOK
John R. Crook, 79, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at his home.
He was a son of the late Lottie M. Crook and Eugene J. Crook.
He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Crook; children, Debby Holden of the home, Bobby “Robert” of Easley, Donna White of Central, Bruce of Greenville, Denise Speares of Williamston; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Crook of Downey, CA.
Graveside service was held Monday at Graceland West Cemetery.

FRANCES L. PITTS
Frances L. Pitts, 87, of Greenville, widow of the late William A. Pitts, died Saturday, November 23, 2013.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late George Dewey and Estelle (Crump) Wilson.
Surviving are two daughters, Faye Cherry of Piedmont and Darlene Gilbert of Palm Coast, FL; a son, William Pitts, Jr. of Surf City, NC; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Tuesday, Nov. 26 in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

LEONARD EARL DAVIS
Leonard Earl Davis, age 86, of Gray Court, Hickory Tavern community, and husband of Grace Williams Davis, died on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Jesse and Ella Ridgeway Davis. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, and was self-employed in HVAC. He was a member of Rabun Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a brother, Lester Davis of Piedmont; a sister, Louise Tucker of Greenville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 24, at Rabun Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with military honors.
