,WILMA WILLIAMS
Wilma Rogers Williams, 94, of Williamston, widow of Daris Jones Williams, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lillian Bowen Rogers. She retired from the Kendall Company and was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Paul Earl Williams, Sr. and Roger Franklin Williams, both of Williamston; daughter, Mabel Williams Roberts of Williamston; brother, Billy Joe Rogers of Pelzer; sisters, Della Clardy and Mary Ruth Ellison, both of Williamston; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 18 at Whitefield Baptist Church. Burial followed at the church cemetery.

EVELYN BREWER RICHEY
Evelyn Brewer Richey, of Powdersville, widow of Harold M. Richey, Sr., died at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Cateechee, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Julia Brewer.
She retired from Saco Lowell in Easley and Anchor Swan in Liberty.
She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are children, Sandra Faulkner of Powdersville and Lynn Baker of Liberty; and son, Harold M. Richey, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga; sister, Nell Massey of Cincinnati, OH; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday, January 17 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel. A private burial was held.

PHIL CROMER
Phillip Boggs Cromer, 72, of Starr, husband of Patricia Hendricks Cromer, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Bertram and Sula Boggs Cromer. He was retired owner of Starr Tool Sharpening Company and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia H. Cromer of the home; children, Kim Waters of Charleston, Sherri Vankuren of PA, Ken Cromer of Piedmont, Renea DeRossett of Easley, Sheryl Snider of Greenville, Bert Cromer of Starr, and Russell Cromer of Williamston; three brothers, Orr Cromer of Spartanburg, Ernest Cromer of Cottageville, and Stanley Cromer of Columbia; one sister, Carol Bowen of Williamston; 18 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at Unity Baptist Church. Burial followed in South Lawn Memorial Gardens.

JOE BARNES
Joseph Franklin Barnes, Jr., 77, husband of Carolyn McRorie Barnes, died Sunday, January 12, 2014.
Born in Grove Station community, he was a son of the late Joseph Franklin, Sr. and Helen Henderson Barnes. He was formerly employed with Thomas Sand and Stone and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Easley are daughter, Lynn Barnes Smith of Bluffton; sons, Joe Barnes, III of Piedmont, Chris Barnes of Williamston; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 18 in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

WANDA BROWN
Wanda Fay Owen Brown, 62, of Starr, widow of Steve Owen, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Arthur and Rachel Newport Hudson Trotter. She was a member of Oak Pointe Church.
Surviving are son, David Owen of Piedmont; daughter, Tonya White of Anderson; sisters, Betty Street and Dottie Roberts, both of Pelzer, Ann Spearman of Williamston, Linda Garrison of Woodruff, and Louise Nelson of Greenville; brother, Clyde Trotter of Pelzer; and one grandson.
Funeral service was held Friday, January 17 in the chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at the Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery.

CATHY FISHER
Catherine Virginia Sims Fisher, 60, of Belton, widow of Johnny Lester Fisher, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Sims and the late Helen Eaton. She was a member of the Williamston Church of God.
Surviving are daughter, Angela Roach of the home; sons, Paul Fisher of the home, and David Fisher of Anderson; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild due in February.
Funeral service was held Friday, January 17  at the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MARVIN KAY
Marvin Kay, Jr., 81, of Belton, widower of Mary Guthrie Kay, died Saturday, January 18, 2014.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Marvin and Sarah Darby Kay, Sr.  An army veteran, he retired from Chiquola Mill.  He was a member of the Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith.
He is survived by daughters, Dale Gregory Gentile  of Greenville and Mimmie Coker  of Pelzer; son, Marvin Wallace Kay of Laurens; sister, Lois Chapman; brother, Dan Kay; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday at Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith.  Burial followed in the church cemetery.

BESSIE LANGSTON HAMMOND
Bessie Lillian Langston Hammond, “Mama Hammond,” of Liberty, widow of James Homer “Jack” Hammond, died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at her home.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Sim and Lillie Vanilla Spearman Langston.  She retired from American Spinning Mills and attended Piedmont Church of God.
She is survived by daughters, Judy Keeler of Honea Path, Lillie Mae Chandler of Liberty, and Kathy Bethune  of Gray Court; sons, Don Hammond of Greenville and Kenneth Hammond of Liberty; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Wednesday in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.  Burial followed at West View Cemetery.

FRANK CHARLES MAJOR
Frank Charles Major, 62, of Easley, husband of Ann Dickard Major, died Friday, January 17, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Piedmont, he was a son of the late John and Lillie Lollis Major. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. He retired from Michelin.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Brian Major; daughter, Angela Nease; brothers, Harry Major, Rev. Wayne Major and Ray Major; sisters, Betty Lou Noblitt and Vickie Allison; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 20 at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

GEORGE BUTLER PEPPER
George Butler Pepper, 100, of Powdersville, widower of Carrie Ella Cartee Pepper, died Thursday, January 16, 2014.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Pinkney L. and Nettie Looper Pepper.
He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and was a shift supervisor at Dunean Mill.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Pepper; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Funeral service was held Monday at Siloam Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

RANDALL ‘RANDY’ ADAM CANTRELL
Randall “Randy” Adam Cantrell, 38, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
He was a self-employed master carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Angel; three children, Destiny, Emily, and Aaron; his mother, Vickie; three sisters, Annie, Martha and Mary; and father, Claude.
Funeral service was held Monday, January 20 at New Life Foundation.

EDNA ALLISON
Edna Chapman Allison, 69, of Piedmont, wife of Earl Wilton Allison, died Friday, January 17, 2014.
Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Williams Chapman.  She was a homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are daughter,  Darlene Kelley  of Pelzer; son, Earl Allison, Jr.  of Honea Path; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie Dee Kelley of Pelzer.
A memorial service was held  Sunday at Gray Mortuary Chapel, Pelzer.

“SONNY” BEASLEY
BELTON – William Otis “Sonny” Beasley, Jr., 69, of 904 Garren Road, died Monday, January 20, 2014 at his home.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late William Otis and Margaret Elsie Motes Beasley and father of the late Allison Beasley Wilson.  He was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and attended Whitefield Baptist Church.  He was self employed and the owner of Beasley’s Ground Maintenance and Contracting and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.  He was a member of the Williamston Masonic Lodge #24 A.F.M.  He loved fishing, hunting and NASCAR and was known as “turtle-man” and made the best turtle stew in the upstate.
He is survived by a special friend, Ann Stroud of Williamston; one brother, W. Jerry Beasley of Donalds; three sisters, Diane Beasley Shaw and husband Bob, and Mary Beasley Crenshaw, all of Donalds, and Nancy Beasley Bratcher and husband Horace of Belton.  Affectionately known as “Daddy” to Ricky and Cindy Heatherly and Boyce Stroud, and as “Grandfather” to Taylor and Caitlyn Heatherly and Brett Stroud; two nephews, Robert and Steven Bratcher; and two faithful employees, Josh Ashley and Kevin Shaw.
Funeral Services were held at 2PM Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Fuller, Rev. Bob Clardy and Rev. Jason Sturkie officiating.  Burial followed in Donalds Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family received friends from 12:30 – 2PM prior to the service.

DONALD ‘DONNIE’ SEIGLER
Donald Wade (Donnie) Seigler, 47, of Pelzer died Sunday, January 19, 2014.  He was a member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle in Piedmont.
He is survived by his son, Cooper Reid Seigler of Anderson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Seigler of Piedmont.
He retired from BASF of Mauldin.
The funeral was held  Wednesday in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

ROSANNA MILFORD
Rosanna Camacho Milford, 67, died Sunday, January 19, 2014.
Born in the Philippine Islands, she was the daughter of the late Mateo and Martina Camacho. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Jahue Milford; sons, Vance and Clint Milford, both of Greenville, and family in the Philippines.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family respectfully requests privacy except during the visitation and service.

KEITH HUNTER
Joel Keith Hunter, 45, husband of Holly LaVigne Hunter, died Saturday, January 18, 2014.
Born in Anderson, he was the son of Dean and Gayle Hunter. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Holly Hunter of the home; children, Joel Keith Hunter, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Mary Morgan Hunter of Anderson, Alexander Hunter and Hayden Hunter of Williamston; parents, Dean and Gayle Hunter of Anderson; brother, Kenneth D. Hunter of Anderson; and a sister, Kimberly Hunter-Fulp of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be private.

SYLVIA CARTEE BOWLING
Sylvia Cartee Bowling, 67, wife of James Leroy Bowling, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Caleb Wade and Clara Bell Young Cartee.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Tammy Campbell of Piedmont, Sherry McConnell of Marietta, Angie Collins of Greer; six granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Loechner of Greenville; two brothers, Jim Cartee of Greenville and Steve Cartee of Easley.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23 from 12 noon until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home with funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.
