Anderson County Sherriff’s Deputies investigated two incidents of counterfeit bills and numerous shoplifting incidents at the Walmart in Powdersville. Among incidents investigted were the following:

PELZER

Jan. 24 – B. Vaughn was dispatched to 260 Joe Black Rd. where Karen Campbell, WF, 51, reported that her boyfriend Jerry Finley, Jr., WM, 43, 5’8″, 150 pounds, had assaulted her by punching and kicking her. Finley was placed under arrest for criminal domestic violence, second offense.

Jan. 24 – S.L. Steward responded to 101 Cheri Circle where Tammy Pitt reported that someone entered her car and stole her purse. The loss was estimated at $330.

Jan. 25 – S.L. Steward responded to 34 Lyman St. where Cathy Jackson reported that her son had taken her car without permission.

Jan. 26 – C.J. Hill responded to 420 Old Brickyard Rd. where Jon Heusinger reported the theft of several items from his car while he was in church, valued at about $201.

PIEDMONT

Jan. 11 – S.L. Steward responded to 205 Saluda Dr., Apt. 38 where Brooke Balwin reported an assault by her boyfriend Justin Noble. Noble, denied the assault. He was placed in custody for criminal domestic violence.

Jan. 25 – J.G. Williams responded to the area of Shiloh Rd. and Shiloh Church Rd.in reference to a BOLO alert for Brandon Williams, WM, 26, 5’11″, 175 lbs. concerning a vehicle stolen in Greenville County. Williams located the suspect and subsequently found a pistol in his pocket. He was placed under arrest for illegal carrying of a pistol. He was also placed on a hold from Greenville County.

Jan. 26 – C.J. Hill was dispatched to 720 Blossom Branch Rd. where Brian Owens reported that both his and his wife’s vehicles had been entered and several items stolen. The loss was estimated at $700.

WILLIAMSTON

Jan. 24 – C.T. McBee responded to 107 Briar Ridge W. where Williamston EMS medic Stacy Hollingsworth reported being assaulted by her husband Russell Hollingsworth, WM, 37, 5’10″, 190 pounds while she was on duty. She had driven to the home to speak with him when he assaulted her in the house and out in the yard. Her partner, EMS medic Crystal Vaughn, defended her by striking Hollingsworth with her flashlight and driving him off. He later surrendered to the ACSO desk and was placed in custody.

Jan. 24 – J.A. Bannister was dispatched to 123 Pinewood Dr. where Joshua Adams reported that someone broke into his vehicle and stole items valued at $900.

Jan. 24 – C.J. Hill was dispatched to 5911 Midway Rd. where Earl Sprague reported the theft from his home of a Baretta .40 caliber pistol and two new compounds hunting bows. The loss was estimated at $2200.

Jan. 25 – C.J. Hill responded to 119 Kensett Dr. where Kevin Smith and Donna Fontaine reported someone entered Smith’s car and stole items including a firearm, a purse and electronic devices, valued at $1450.

Jan. 26 – P.D. Marter was dispatched to 5624 Midway Rd. where Cole Starns reported the theft of various welding items and car parts from his carport. The loss was estimated at $1530.

Jan. 27 – C.P. Huff responded to 104 Sheila Dr. where Melica Graber reported that someone had keyed her vehicle extensively. The damage was estimated at $24,000.

EASLEY

Jan. 24 – B. Vaughn responded to the Spinx station on Hwy. 153 where the clerk reported that a white male had attempted to purchase gas with a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. The employee cut off the gas pump when he realized the bill was phony. After offering other bills which were also counterfeit, the man fled in black Honda Civic.

Jan 24 – C.J. Hill was dispatched to 7651 Hwy. 81N where Samuel Moore reported the theft of two dirt bikes and an ATV with a total value of $25,000.

Jan. 25 – S.L. Steward responded to the Wal-Mart where he took Bryan Jones, BM, 46, 6’, 185 pounds into custody for shoplifting.

Jan. 26 – S. L. Steward responded to the Wal-Mart where he took Kaya Sykes, BM, 41, 5’8″, 188 pounds into custody for shoplifting.

Jan. 26 – S.L. Steward responded to the Wal-Mart where he took Sharon Logan, BF, 51, 5’9″, 200 pounds into custody for shoplifting.

Jan. 26 – P.D. Marter was dispatched to the Spinx station where an employee reported an attempt by a black male to purchase items with a counterfeit twenty dollar bill.

Jan. 26 – C.J. Hill responded to 307 Roe Rd. where Donna Horton reported that someone had broken into her garage and stolen two dirt bikes valued at a total of $3000.

Jan. 26 – P.D. Marter responded to the Wal-Mart where he took Bobby Childers into custody for shoplifting, assault and battery and malicious damage to property. Childers was also held on four outstanding warrants from Pickens County.
