SAMMY ELLISON, TRACY COOLEY ELBERTSON, MARY E. BLACKWELL, SARA ADAMEK, ROY WHITLOCK, LARRY FEDOR

SAMMY ELLISON
WILLIAMSTON – Sammy Holland Ellison, 72, of 11 Lester Road, husband of Ann Haulbrook Ellison, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Walter Lester and Ethel Holland Ellison.  He was owner/operator of Sammy Ellison’s Garage and Wrecker Service. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army as well as the National Guard.
Surviving are his wife of the home; son, Jimmy Ellison (Angie) of Belton; daughters, Kim Durham (George) of Abbeville, Angie Garren (Ricky) of Iva; grandchildren, Kristy, Gennifer, Justin, Kelley, Jacob, Ellison, Brody; sisters, Dot Dickerson and Bobbie Brooks, both of Williamston, Mary Jane Cothran of Anderson; brothers, David Ellison of Pelzer, Alton, Wade, Wendell Ellison, all of Williamston, Don Ellison of Belton.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Ellison.
Visitation was held from 6-8 pm Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
The funeral service followed at 2 pm Monday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

TRACY COOLEY ELBERTSON
Tracy Cooley Elbertson, 47, of 1602 Anderson Dr., Williamston, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of Ron and Melanie Holliday Cooley of Belton. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her parents are: son, Travis Ridgeway of Belton; brother, D.J. Cooley of Greenville; sister, Leslie McAllister of Belton; five grandchildren, Grandmother Frances R Holliday (Mama Frankie).
Memorial service was held Sunday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Daryle Hawthorne officiating.
The family received friends prior to the service Sunday at Cox Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of Ron and Melanie, 404 Toney Creek Rd. Belton.

MARY E. BLACKWELL
Mary E. Blackwell, 65, of Williamston, died Sunday, January 19, 2014.
She  was  a  retired  Teacher’s  Assistant / Aide  in  Anderson  District  One,  and  had  worked  for  the  past  22  years  in  the  Deli  at  the  Pelzer  BI-LO.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 25 at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Williamston.

SARA ADAMEK
Sara Frances Trotter Adamek, 75, of Pelzer, widow of Ernest Kurt Adamek, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late C. M., Jr. and Eunice McCoy Trotter. She formerly worked in the garment manufacturing industry and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Steve Adamek of Pelzer; sister, Doris Tompkins of Williamston; and brother, Terry Trotter of Williamston.
Funeral service was held Monday, January 27 in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.

ROY WHITLOCK
WILLIAMSTON – Roy Woodford Whitlock, 89, of 402 McAlister Road, husband of seventy years to Edith Ellison Whitlock, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late George W. and Dora Rainey Whitlock.  He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Whitefield Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of the home; grandchildren, Richard H. Parker. Roy R. Parker, Michelle P. Putnal; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Carol Whitlock of Blythe, GA, Joe Whitlock of Pelzer; sister, Rachel W. Hood of Piedmont.
He was predeceased by daughter, Elaine W. Parker and son, Roy Randall Whitlock; sister, Frances W. Cole; brother, Charles Whitlock.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer from 1 – 2 pm.
The funeral service will follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Revs. Bob Clardy and Ray Ridgeway, Jr. officiating.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

LARRY FEDOR
Larry Fedor, of Powell, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2014.
He was the loving husband of Elaine Williams Fedor. She was formerly of Piedmont, SC.
