TONY BURGESS
Thomas “Tony” Alan Burgess, Sr., 49, of Pelzer, husband of Wendy Allen Burgess, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his home.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of Calvin Burgess (Sarah Ann), and Charlotte Epps Davis, both of Belton, and the late Robert Davis. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he is survived by son, Thomas “T. J.” Alan Burgess, Jr. of Belton; daughters, Jessica Nicole and Jodie Marie Burgess, both of the home; nephew, River Todd Allen, of the home; brothers, Robert “Robin” Lyn Davis of Easley, Travis Davis of Williamston, John T. “J. J.” Davis, Darren Burgess and Junior Burgess, all of Belton; sister, Polly Yates of Honea Path; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 14 at Eastview Baptist Church with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

J MACK PEARMAN
J Mack Spearman, 96, widower of Cecille Johnson Spearman, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Hospice Health and Rehab of Piedmont.
Born in Piedmont, he was the son of the late William Asberry Spearman and Helen Drennon Spearman. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Maxie Ann Spearman of Conyers, GA and Piedmont.
Graveside services were held Saturday, March 8 in the Shiloh Church Cemetery.

DOROTHY WEEDMAN
Dorothy Lowe Weedman, 78, of Chappells, widow of Charles Desmond Weedman, Jr., died March 5, 2014 at her home.
Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Stanley and Julia Faye Peebles Lowe.
She retired from Goodwill Industries in Greenville and was a member of Chappells Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Patricia A. Tinsley of Piedmont, Linda K. Sullivan of Greenville, Rebecca R. McKinney of Spartanburg and Donna M. Morgan of Oxford, NC; two sons, Timothy A. McKinney of Olive Branch, MS and Christopher P. McKinney of Chappells; sister, Barbara Powers of Mauldin; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

ROY WHITT
Roy David Whitt, 86, formerly of Pelzer, died March 5, 2014 at Mountain View Health Care in Clayton, GA.
Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Robert W. and Luna Evans Whitt.  He was retired from J.P. Stevens Piedmont Plant and a member of First Baptist Church, Liberty.
He is survived by a brother, Robert Amos Whitt of Greer.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 8 in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

WINFRED CRONE
Winfred Pearl Crone, of Williamston, died March 9, 2014
Survivors include daughter, Robin Lusk of Piedmont; one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter; brother, Jimmy Crone; sisters, Dot Parsons, Nancy Evatt and Martha Ann Owens.
He was predeceased by parents, Ruby and Fred Crone.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, March 12, at Gray Mortuary Chapel, Pelzer.

RENEE ANDERSON
Wanda Renee Anderson, 43, of Pelzer, died March 5, 2014.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of Charles Daniel “Danny” and Gail Capps Anderson.
Surviving in addition to her parents are sister, Amanda Barahona of Richmond, VA; and grandmother, Loretta Anderson of Piedmont.
Funeral service was held Saturday, March 8 in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortury, Pelzer. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

ELLIE ANNETTE DAVIS
Ellie Annette Pirkle Davis, 68, of Pelzer, died Friday, March 7, 2014. She was the wife of the late McArthur Leroy Davis.
Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Virgle Lee and Roxie C. Pirkle Sams.
She was an assistant manager for Burger King and was a member of Cedar Fall Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Gregory L. Davis of Greenville; daughters, Pamela R. Hooper of Pelzer, Stephanie L. Campbell of Pelzer; great-granddaughter raised in the home, Savannah Davis; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Maggie Wallace of Vienna, WV.
Graveside services were held Sunday, March 9 at Neville Cemetery.

MARY RUTH DAVENPORT BALLARD
Mary Ruth Davenport Ballard, widow of Henry Grady Ballard, Sr., and daughter of the late Furman Bennett and Maude Yeargin Davenport, died Friday, March 7, 2014.
Surviving are eight children, Henry Grady Ballard, Jr. of Easley, Dave Ballard of Pelzer, Dr. Rebecca Ballard Stiegel of Easley, Liz Newell of Cumming, GA, Mary Anne Ballard and Frances Carpenter of Smyrna, GA, Margaret Allen of Indian Trails, NC, Jane Dyer of Easley, and Jo Seekins of Cary, NC; 13 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 9 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial followed at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery.

DAVID GEORGE TIMMS
David George Timms, 72, husband of Ella Mae Chasteen Timms, of Belton, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Belton, he was the son of the late Clarence and Bertha Motes Timms.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: son, Steve Lusk of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Kathy Ferguson of Powdersville, and Sherri Banister of Williamston; five brothers; one sister; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 11 at Garden of Memories.

DAMIEN ABDULLAH RANSOM
Damien Abdullah Ransom, 38, of Greenville, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of Betty Jean Kerns Ransom of the home and the late Everette Ransom.
Surviving in addition to his mother are sisters, Denise Brown of Piedmont; Everton Ransom, and Zondinaqua Ransom of Greenville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 11 at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.
