Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents:

PELZER

April 18 – A.G. Banister and J.K. Billingsley responded to 15 Lyman St. where resident Gary Pridemore reported the entry into his shed and the theft of various items valued at $235.

April 19 – S. Dunlap was dispatched to 610 Stegall Rd. where James Fitzgerald reported that two unknown suspects had entered his shed and stolen cable, wiring, and other electrical items valued at $3730. Video confirmed his story, and showed a possible 1993 or 1994 white Honda two door leaving the scene.

April 19 – S.R. Davis was dispatched to 271 Stoneybrook Rd. where Peggy Kay reported that someone broke into a building at the site and stole various items valued at $1000.

April 20 – C.C. Brazier responded to 206 Moore’s Mill Rd. where Norman Reid, Jr., WM, 42, said that his daughter’s boyfriend, Brian Henderson, WM, 22, 6’3″, 150 pounds arrived at the house unannounced and uninvited, and repeatedly refused to leave, despite having been told he was trespassing in the past. The two began fighting, and Henderson pulled a knife on Harris. Harris them went to his truck and got a pistol, whereupon Henderson left.

After talking with Henderson, Brazier arrested him for trespassing and took him to ACDC.

April 20 – S.R. Davis responded to the Guthrie Grove Church of the Abrahamic Faith where Craig Davenport reported that someone broke into his vehicle and stole personal items valued at $250 while he was in church.

PIEDMONT

April 18 – J. Chau, of the ACSO’s AET unit conducted alcohol purchase sting operations in the area. A seventeen year old was sent into a 7-11 store as well as the Ingle’s Supermarket. In both cases, the clerks checked the ID and sold the minor the beer anyway. Both clerks were cited and given court dates.

April 18 – K.D. Lollis responded to 126 Wood Creek Dr. where Robin Wells reported that someone had stolen a number of items from behind her house. Her neighbor said she saw a burgundy Ford Bronco pull a utility trailer with the items away. The loss was estimated at $950.

WILLIAMSTON

April 18 – S.R. Davis responded to 430 McAlister Rd. in reference to a DSS children’s case. Upon arrival, he made contact with Theresa Wead, WF, 36, 5’2″, 180 pounds, who allowed him and the DSS worker inside. She stayed outside with the children while her husband, Jeffrey Kermath, WM, 33, 5’10″, 140 pounds showed the deputy through the house. The deputy saw a meth lab and two bags of meth in plain sight, and took both parents into custody. The children were left with a neighbor, with the parents’ consent.

April 18 – A.G. Bannister and J.K. Billingsley responded to 110 Woods Dr. where Jessica Smith reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her makeup bag, valued at $100.

April 18 – J.J. Jacobs responded to Goldspeed USA at 102 Twenty Nine Court, where Todd Owens reported the theft of a Honda generator, valued at $1850.

April 19 – A.G. Banister and J.K. Billingsley responded to 4800 Hwy. 29 N. to the Family Dollar store, where Eddie Bagwell requested that Lloyd McDavid, BM, 54, 6’, 155 pounds be placed on trespass notice, after causing a disturbance at the store.

April 20 – J.K. Billingsley responded to 120 Pinewood Dr. where Anthony Garrett reported that someone had broken into his vehicle and stolen a Ryobi impact driver valued at $100.

April 20 – S.R. Davis was in the area of Crappie Drive and McAlister Rd., in reference to a shots fired report when he saw a vehicle matching the description given. Upon stopping the car and making contact with Daziaun Putman, BM, 19, 6’, 135 pounds, he asked to search the vehicle. Putman told him he had some marijuana in his pocket, and he was subsequently arrested for simple possession and taken to ACDC.

April 20 – S. L. Steward responded to 122 Hillcrest Dr. where Jose Cortes reported that someone had broken into his home and stolen several pieces of jewelry, valued at $3000.

EASLEY

April 18 – S. Dunlap responded to a report of a road rage incident at the United Methodist Church on Hwy. 81 N near the Powdersville Fire Department. He found Wayne Sexton, WM, 40, 6’1″, 185 pounds and an unidentified male subject in the midst of an altercation. No arrests were made.

April 18-C.C. Brazier responded to the Powdersville WalMart and charged Quentin McClinton, BM, 23, 5’7″, 152 pounds with shoplifting.

April 19 – C.C. Brazier again responded to the Powdersville WalMart and placed Heather Smith, WF, 42, 5’3″, 103 pounds, blond/hazel, under arrest for shoplifting. Her boyfriend, Curtis Heard, was placed on no trespass notice for the store.

April 19 – P.D. Marter responded to the WalMart where employees reported that a white male in his early 20s stole two small crow bars, then used them to pry an electronics game case open before stealing approximately $2000 worth of games and game consoles. He was intercepted by employees and threatened them with harm. He left in an older white pickup truck.
