Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Apr. 4 – Brandon Mitchell Lee Couch, 17, 25 Smyth St., Pelzer reported a wallet with contents including $40 was taken from a gym bag during class at Palmetto High School, 804 N. Hamilton St., Williamston. J. Sargent investigated.

Apr. 9 – Yolanda Doreen Smith, 50, 3 Ellison St., Williamston was arrested for failure to return suspended licnese plate, operating uninsured vehicle and driving under suspension after a red Ford was observed on Main St. with a suspended license. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Apr. 11 – Joy Belt Zack, 34, 105 Sterling Bridge Rd,. Greenville was arrested for outstanding bench warrant when she was observed at Hickory Point, Highway 8 at West Pelzer. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Apr. 11 – During a traffic stop, Matthew Alexander Abernathy, 24, 1280 Cannon Bottom Rd., Belton was arrested for interfering with an officer and no proof of insurance after refusing to give officers a drivers license, vehicle paperwork and his name, informing officers that his title was the Grand Tour of the Beneficiary. Sgt. K. J. Winn, SC5 B. Hardy investigated.

Apr. 11 – Shawn Austin Vaughn, 18, 217 Murphy Rd., Belton was arrested for driving under suspension after a blue Pontiac was observed turning onto South Academy with no turn signal and then from Broad St. onto Wall St. with no turn signal. A search of the vehicle found two glass pipes and one pair of brass knuckles which were confiscated. SC5 B. hardy investigated.

Apr. 10 – John Richard Hunter, 310 Pine Trail Dr., Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with Anderson City Police after officers observed a blue Ford Explorer crossing the white line while on Anderson Dr. Sgt. C. Whitfield investigated.
