Greenville County Schools recently announced that Friday, June 6, originally scheduled as the last of three makeup days, will be the last day of classes for students.
Friday, June 6, as well as Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5, will be half days.
Greenville County High School graduations will take place June 4 – 6.
The last days for teachers will be Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10.
Twelve-month employees will work the district’s extended-hours Summer Schedule, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., from Monday, June 9 through Friday, August 8.
Closing schools and offices on Fridays during the summer saves the District $50,000 per day in utility costs, officials said.
