Anderson School District One to hold Graduation this Friday

For the first time ever, Anderson School District One will hold commencement exercises for three high schools, All three services will be held this Friday, May 30 at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson.

Palmetto graduates will be the first to receive diplomas beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the first graduating class of the new Powdersville High School at 1 p.m. Wren graduation will be held at 4 p.m.

Palmetto High Commencement May 30 – 10 a.m.

The PHS Band and Orchestra will play “the Barber of Seville (Overture), Honor Grad Michael Eskew will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. A Capella Singers will present the National Anthem.

Honor Grad Tyler McIntosh will present the invocation. Honor Grad Jack Wardlaw will welcome guests.

Salutatorian Chandler Crawford will give a student address. There will be a choral presentation and the PHS Concert Orchestra will perform.

Valedictorian Brittany Houston will give her student address. Palmetto High Principal Ray Callaham will introduce platform guests.

Anderson School District One Board Chairman Fred Alexander, Superintendent David Havird, Principal Ray Callaham, Assistant Principal Mike Kelly and Assistant Principal Robert Roach will present diplomas.

Principal Callaham will confirm the graduates.

Honor Grad Chandlet Bell will have closing remarks. The Palmetto High Band will lead the Alma Mater. Honor Grad Robert Blake Cooper will give the benediction.

Powdersville High Commencement May 30 – 1 p.m

Powdersville High Commencement will be held at Littlejohn Coliseum at 1 p.m.

Honor Grad Rachael Hamilton will lead a moment of reflection. Honor Grad Drayton Tsirkas will lead the Pledge to the flag. Honor Grad Casey Barwick will present the Star Spangled Banner. Principal Dr. Chris Ferguson will welcome guests.

Special music will be presented by Concert Choir members.

Dr. Ferguson will recognize honors. Valedictorian Elleson Stahlsmith will give a graduation address entitled “Leaving a Legacy.”

Salutatorian Michelle Troup will give her address, “We are THE Patriots.”

Dr. Ferguson, Lauree Cole and Phillip Bramblett will award diplomas, Honor Grad Julianna Phillips will lead the Alma Mater. Honor Grad Julianna Phillips will have closing remarks.

Wren High Commencement May 30 – 4 p.m.

Honor Grad Anna Crittendon will give the invocation. The NJROTC Color Guard will present colors.

Honor Grad Jordyn Schirripa and Honor Grad Jenna Leftwich will lead the pledge to the flag. Honor Grad Brianna Paris will sing the Star Spangled Banner.

Student Body President and Honor Grad Maimik Patel will welcome guests.

Honor Grad Emily Schoffstall will address the occasion. Special Music will be presented by Adam Watts, Cocert Choir members. Soloists will include Honor Grad Caitlin Epperson and Honor Grad Nathaniel Mullins. Wren High Principal Nichole B. Boseman will recognize special guests.

Honor Grad Katharine Peh will have a teacher tribute. Principal Boseman will recognize honors.

Valedictorian James Hintson will give an address entitled “Still Haven’t Found”. Salutatorian Peyton Longlet will give an address entitled “Being the New Kid.”

Principal Bosemanm will award diplomas with assistance from Seth Young, Christopher Chapman and Stacey Scott.

Honor Grad Mallory McFerron will lead the Alma Mater. Honor Grad Kimberly Kirby will pronounce the benediction.

Honor Grad Lyndsey Wilson and Honor Grad Brooke McMurrer will have closing remarks.
