Greenville Vice Mayor Pro Tem Lilian Flemming will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Mac Arnold’s Blues Restaurant in the Village of West Greenville this Thursday, June 12 at 11:30 a.m. The grand opening will feature food from ASADA and a performance by Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues. The restaurant and music venue is located in a newly-renovated building in the heart of the Village and is another unique addition to the eclectic line-up of art galleries and businesses along Pendleton Street.

Arnold cites West Greenville’s emergence as an arts destination and its need for a restaurant among his reasons for being drawn to the area. The 71-year-old musician, who still tours with his band, has partnered with his brother Isaac, who will manage the restaurant while Arnold is away from home. ASADA is providing the food for the restaurant, and while blues will feature prominently on the music side, Arnold plans to also book bands from a variety of genres.

Mac Arnold’s Blues Restaurant is located at 1237 Pendleton St. in Greenville’s West End.
