Events put Williamston in the spotlight

Main Street Williamston’s new “Historic Williamston” banner is highlighted on the Amphitheater in Mineral Spring Park as Outshyne plays for a crowd estimated at more than 5000 Saturday during the GWBA Party int he Park. Williamton Mayor Mack Durham hopes events like this will continue to draw people into the town.

Williamston’s next big event will be the 33rd annual Spring Water Festival August 22-23 which will feature award winning country music singer/songwriter Lucas Hoge.  Sirius XM and radio stations across the country are now playing his new single Flip Flops. Hoge also starred in an Animal Planet TV show “Last Chance Highway.”

Also appearing will be Blue Sky Blues, The Royal Scotsmen Band, Mill Town Players, Odyssey, Angela Easterling and the Beguilers and much more.

There will be an all day gospel stage and children’s entertainment. The festival will also feature a 5k run, craft vendors, car show, festival food and more. For more information, visit the festival website at www.springwaterfestival.com.
