Boo in the Park event Saturday – Nov. 1

Organizers of Williamston’s annual Halloween event, Boo in the Park, said the event will be held this year on Saturday, November 1st from 5-8pm in Mineral Spring Park.

Gates to the park will close at 3 p.m. There will be free candy for kids ages 1-12, a Haunted Hut by the Williamston Historic Commission, games provided by the Cowboy Church of Pelzer, free hotdogs and entertainment by Pelzer Church of God.

There will also be a Costume Contest for ages 0-12 years. All entries must register. Winners will receive a $10 gift certificate from WalMart plus toys.

Stage entertainment includes Jack’s Drum Shack from 5 – 5:45; K&M Dance Studio 5:45-6:15 and costume contest at 6:15.

The Williamston Fire Department will also offer rides on the 1936 antique fire engine.

Any church, business, organization or individuals interestested in participating are invited. Applications are available at the Journal and the Williamston Municipal Center (Town Hall).

The annual event includes free fun activities, food and candy for trick or treaters.
