Approximately one half inch of wet snow fell across the area overnight, covering bushes and grassy areas. Power outages were being reported in some areas including the Cheddar side of Williamston. Duke Energy reported that the first call of outage in the Cheddar area was received at 6:43 am on Saturday morning. The first report for Anderson County came in at 2:37 am. According to Duke Energy, 12,805 customers in Anderson County were without power with 167 outage locations being reported as of 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Duke Energy officals are currently assessing the damage.
