Palmetto senior injured in Hwy. 20 crash – Oct. 29

A Palmetto High School senior was taken to the hospital in serious condition after he was involved in an accident around 7 a.m. last Wednesday, (Oct. 29) morning. According to Cpl. Bill Rhyne of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Sabastian Selman was driving a 1988 Toyota pickup on SC Hwy. 20 near Big Creek Road when his truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. Selman, 18, of Pelzer, was trapped in the pickup. He was not wearing a seat belt, Rhyne said. He was taken by helicopter to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where was in the intensive care unit Wednesday afternoon. The driver of the 2007 International tractor-trailer, Nathan Edmond, 30, of Easley, was not injured, Rhyne said. (Photo by Tiffany Looney)
