LOIS C. STEGALL, BILL RICHEY, RICKY ELGIN, EARLINE SCOTT, DIANNE WILKIE, JACKIE LEE BLANDING

LOIS C. STEGALL

Lois Inez Crawford Stegall, 90, of Piedmont, wife of Clarence Lee Stegall, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the McCall Hospice House.

Born in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late William and Virgie Powell Crawford. She was a Navy veteran in the WAVES stationed in Charleston and was a member of Six & Twenty Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of the home; two daughters, Lynn S. O’Connell of Easley, Sue Stegall of Hickory, NC; son, Lee Stegall of Easley; six grandchildren; three brothers, W.C. Crawford, Jr. of Pelzer, Bill Crawford and Steve Crawford, both of Anderson; three sisters, Janie Pepper of Williamston, Virginia Hickey of Anderson and Barbara Hoff of Dallas, TX.

Funeral service was held Friday at Sullivan-King Mortuary with military honors.

A private burial followed at Six & Twenty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

BILL RICHEY

WILLIAMSTON – William “Bill” K. Richey, Sr., 75, widower of Wylene Poore Richey, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of Thelma Pinson Richey of Greenville and the late James B. Richey. He retired from Richey Drywall and was former owner of Poore’s Feed and Seed.  He was also a member of Williamston First Baptist Church, Williamston Lions Club, and served Meals on Wheels in Greenville.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughter, Linda Richey of Greenville; son, William “Billy” K. Richey, Jr. and wife, Kristi of Anderson; sister, Becky Gibson of Greenville; brothers, Jim Richey of Easley, Bob Richey of Simpsonville, and John Richey of Greenville; grandchildren, Will Richey, Reagan Richey, Alana Stone and Jaycie Summerall; and his significant other, Connie Mackey of Williamston.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 12 at Williamston First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at respective homes.

RICKY ELGIN

Richard Allen Elgin, 57, of Williamston, husband of Julia “Kitten” Cothran Elgin, died Saturday, December 6, 2014.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Margaret Gilreath Elgin of Williamston and the late Ivan Addison Elgin. He was a member of Piedmont United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by son, Brad Elgin of Belton; daughter, Kellie Deyoung of Belton; brothers, David, Danny, and Steve Elgin; sisters, Velma Ray, Carol Rutledge, Cindy Rutledge, Deborah Frankum, Sheila Kelly, Linda Foster, Angie Freeman, Faye Myers and Juanita Coker; two grandchildren.

Funeral service was held  Monday, December 8 in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

EARLINE SCOTT

Earline Green Scott, 74, wife of Henry Lester Scott, Jr., died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at her home.

Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Earl Lumpkin and Maye Collins Green.

She was a  homemaker and was a member of Utica Baptist Church in Seneca.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: son, Stan Scott of Powdersville; daughter, Leslie Scott Southard of Waterloo; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Morris Green of Hartsville, Jimmy Green of San Antonio, TX, and Dennis Green of Westminster.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 6 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

DIANNE WILKIE

Dianne Wilkie of Piedmont died Thursday, December 4, 2014.

She was the daughter of Addie Lee and the late Alvin Lollis, Sr.

She is also survived by two daughters, Jean Osteen and Charlie Johnson; brother, Alvin Jr.; sister, Dot; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 6 at Grove Station Baptist Church in Piedmont. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

JACKIE LEE BLANDING

The Unity Mortuary announces that family and friends will gather at the chapel in Anderson on Thursday, December 11, 2014 to celebrate the life of Jackie Lee Blanding at 1 p.m.

Family members will gather at 110 E. Carolina Street in Williamston.
