Jones signs with Ole Miss

The number one college defensive recruit, D.J. Jones, announced on December 17 that he will play the rest of his college career at Ole Miss.

Jones, a 6’2”, 310 lb. Defensive Tackle played high school football at Wren High School and was a Shrine Bowl Player. In Junior College at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Miss., Jones had 49 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, and a forced fumble in 2013. As a sophomore for the Lions this season, he had 22 solo tackles, 7 assists, averaged 2.4 tackles per game and had 4 sacks for 18 yards. Pictured with Jones are his father Dave and mother Patricia. Asked how he chose Ole Miss after verbally committing to Florida State he said Ole Miss continued to recruit him after almost everyone else gave up after  he verbally committed to the Seminoles.
