Jason Freedom Reid, WM, age 37, 181 Owens Rd., Piedmont, is wanted in connection with the attempted murder of Mitchell Ray Carroll and Kristin Nicole Queen who were in the vehicle which was run off the road and into a tree.

According to report, Carroll and Queen left Greenville County early Saturday morning, January 31 and drove toward Pelzer. As they crossed into Anderson County on Lebby Street, a vehicle reportedly driven by Reid began striking their Honda Accord from behind.

After the Honda turned onto Palmetto Road in Pelzer, Reid’s vehicle stuck the Honda again, forcing it to leave the roadway and strike a tree. After unsuccessfully attempting to remove Carroll from the vehicle, Reid and another unknown white male fled the scene.

Carroll and Queen were transported by Pelzer EMS to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Carroll was treated and released; Queen was admitted as additional tests were needed to determine the extent of her injuries.

Investigators have obtained two warrants on Jason Reid for Attempted Murder. He has not yet been located.

Anyone with information concerning Reid’s whereabouts is asked to contact Investigator Matt Ritter at (864) 222-6652 or via email at MWRitter@andersonsheriff.com or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
