Kindergarten registration for 4 and 5-year-old students in Anderson School District One will be held on Wednesday, March 4 from 8 a.m .to 5 p.m.
Full-day 5-year-old programs will be offered at: Cedar Grove Elementary, Concrete Primary, Hunt Meadows Elementary, Palmetto Elementary, Spearman Elementary, West Pelzer Elementary and Wren Elementary.
Half-day 4-year-old programs will be offered at: Cedar Grove Elementary, Concrete Primary, Hunt Meadows Elementary, Palmetto Elementary, Spearman Elementary, West Pelzer Elementary and Wren Elementary.
Students must be 4 or 5 years old by September 1st in order to enroll in the respective programs (no exceptions to this age requirement). Students who register for the 4 year old program must first be screened and tested to determine eligibility.
Parents should register their children at one of the above named schools, and because of possible attendance area issues, plan to bring proof of residency.
Parents are asked to bring the following forms at the time of registration: Child’s birth certificate; A completed South Carolina Immunization Certificate; Social Security card.
Also Proof of residency – any two of the following: Tax Bill, Deed, Current utility bill (electric, gas, water); signed contract with builder/contractor or realtor; signed lease with signature of tenant and landlord stating actual location of home.
These forms must be furnished before a child enters school. Children may be taken to the Health Department in Anderson for immunizations. If a social security card has not been obtained, application forms will be available at the schools.
